I started playing Guild Wars back when it was first released, but because of school and other commitments had to stop. When I finally found some time again, I started playing a bunch of MMO's but forgot about Guild Wars. Well, "bunch of MMO's" got really boring, and I found Nightfall+Factions+EotN really cheap at a sale, so I picked up GW again. I'm finding this game a lot more fun than I remembered, so I think I will be sticking with it for a while, and most likely will pick up GW2 when it come out. So since I quit fairly early, there are a lot of thing that yet do not understand, and I'm hoping I could find a guild that could help me out.
Here's the run-down:
What I don't know about Guild Wars (and am hoping to learn more about):This whole Kurzrick/Luxon business What hard mode or vanquishing means What the economy is like And a lot more I'm sure...
What I am hoping to do in Guild Wars:Finish the Prophecies campaign, then start the others (currently at Iron Mines of something or another) Continue being a complete alt-oholic A bit of PvP once I get back into the groove of things (though I think my focus is still PvE)
A bit about myself:21 years old, which unfortunately means I have some commitments that aren't video games which require my attention
Live in east coast Canada, though I don't think my playtimes clash with any timezone since my sleep schedule is fairly erratic due to school and work
What I'm looking for in a guild:A bit of discretion when it comes to membership (Unfortunately there are idiots in every game...while I can play with just about anyone, putting up with them when they are in your guild is a different matter) No requirements about what you have to do in-game, but has organized events, actively and willing to help out when it's needed Maturity - I swear quite a bit IRL (though I won't in game if it's a requirement), but I don't preface every sentence with a swear to make it seem like I'm cool. I drink, but I don't brag about it in guild chat, and I most certainly don't want to hear how great it is that you are "smoking a bowl". Just... be cool, y'know?
People talk about things other than the game: I like making new friends, and I like sharing things that I find funny or interesting, and I'm hoping to make new friends here too. Whether it's in-game or on the forums, I'm hoping there will be a bit of communication between members.
Other than that, I have vent, can get TS, I have classes of every kind, but my 20's are a necromancer and a mesmer.
