I think you need a different font. Thicker, to bring more attention.
I think you should actually google some magazine covers and use them as models.

Hahahaha, love those heads The layout could be a bit better, like Caged said, bigger/fatter font and maybe some more red? But if you don't mind to really make magazine like covers, this is just great. Humor at its best
