Sort out AB waiting times
Squire Heats
The waiting times are caused by having more teams trying to join on one side than the other. On Asslands, lots of Kurzicks see this as easy map so at any one point there maybe two or three times the number of kurzicks playing.
If there were more luxons it would reduce the waiting times, however, many kurz will be in kurz guilds etc.
One easy way to solve this problem, add an additional ab option. Something like 'Dogs of War' (referred to as DoW) or 'Bounty Hunters'. The way this would work is;
i) Have a seperate forming up area type thing (neither Luxon or Kurzick). (Maybe a cave hidden under Harvest temple)
ii) Allowing you to form up parties for ab as usual.
iii) Upon entering you end up fighting for the side (luxon or Kurz) that has less active teams, for instance say there is one 'Dogs of War' team at the point of countdown reaching 0. Along with 9 kurzick teams and 5 luxon teams waiting to enter. The DoW team would be assigned to luxon. This will mean instead of just 3 luxon teams and 3 kurzick teams entering. 5 luxon + the DoW team will enter along with 6 kurzick.
iv) The faction gained would be towards the alliegence of your guild, and to the equivilent map level difficulty setting. ie if you are a kurzick in DoW and win assulting ancestral lands (kurzick) you would gain the 2.5k faction as its a harder map but it would be kurzick faction instead of luxon as you are in a kurzick guild.
This option will allow kurzicks who want to ab for faction to play maps offering greater rewards while at the same time balancing out the problem of kurzick players outnumbering the luxon players.
Someone is gonna flame this for not being in line with the 'lore' and all this bullsh*t but the system is flawed as it currently stands; and something like the Dogs of war/militia to hire should get round this problem.

The thing with good ideas like this, they will never get implemented.

Here I was, expecting some 'there needs to be more servers for AB' whine
Good suggestion, all around. As long as the DoW teams don't get precedence to the Luxon teams. But that probably won't happen.
@ Jazilla, content updates are upcoming. GW will be 5 year next week. Give it a rest.

It's a flawed system. I totally agree. The maps should have been tactically neutral, never giving either side an advantage. That way you wouldn't have people playing maps, just when they had the advantage. I like your idea sir. Too bad it will never see the light of dau. Heck, they can't even be bothered to add new content on the 5th Anniversary outside a few NPC conversations in Talmark Wilderness. I don't call Farmer Dirk talking to a dude that looks like one of Palpatine's bodyguards, content.

Good idea actually. AB in general needs to be fixed heavily (including the rewards...).

If i understood correctly, in this way one member of a kurzick alliance (for example) couldn't obtain luxon factions playing ab, and vice-versa. Am i wrong?

From the 'new' town you would gain faction relating to your guild alliegence... But you would not necessarily play that correspondings alliegence starting place on maps (ie you could be a kurzick assulting asslands fort but gain kurzick faction).
There may be a problem with people in no guilds but this can be solved by the game making note of which alliegence the gh was through which the person accessed the area (ie people who are guests)
You could also put forward the idea that this area may give less faction (maybe 1000 for a win) accompanied by some gold (500 maybe) but this is other stuff to think about

Everyone would just go to that outpost, leaving both the Luxon & Kurzick outposts desolate.

I like the idea since it would shorten the amount of time between matches, however I'm a little concerned about the abuse of the system. For example, if the map is at ancestral lands and no luxons are playing, The kurzicks could go to this new outpost and sync with their friends playing on the kurzick side, and the GoW give their kurzick friends free faction.
This might need a little work, but /signed nevertheless

Wouldn't everyone just go and enter at the dog of war place since no matter what side they get on, they get the faction of their guild? and implementing a new hidden outpost would require some resources that anet would claim they dont have atm, lol. idk.

Great idea, one way to make sure the DoW outpost didn't kill the faction ones would be if it was actually not optional, but randomly compulsory to a certain group, as in a group which clicked enter battle could be randomly put on the opposing team. I'm sure some people will object to being forced on to the other team, but frankly I don't care which team I play for cuz AB is just fun and I have no firm loyalties to my virtual faction. I'm sure there'd be the odd few idiots who would just leech for a laugh, but the novelty of that would soon wear off.
/singed For a really good idea. Kudos to you my friend.

just find yourself a nice smurf guild of the opposite allegiance (or just go around town asking for an invite; it doesnt take long usually) and get a reinvite to your original guild when you're done.

Just something I don't quite get, how would it kill the original outpost? Or rather, how is that negative? If everyone is in DoW-zone, everyone will just be assigned to random sides, right? So it changes nothing (accept the side you'll play).
The ocasionnal player who will want to play on a certain side will assemble a team and go to that side.

Here's my take:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedb...FA,_JQ,_and_AB
Allow players to exchange one type of faction for another, either for a small gold fee, or a skill point:
5,000 Faction +100g = 5,000 opposite Faction
10,000 Faction + 1 skill point = 10,000 opposite Faction
Anyone with lore issues should read the whole article.
