I've seen several web sites/threads state that Guild Wars has voice acting. That is, you can hear the NPCs talk (beside seeing text on the screen).
Is this true? I've got the Triology, but haven't heard anyone speak. Do I have to set an option somewhere?
I'm still in pre-Searing, so maybe there is no voice acting until you exit the tutorial?
Not really concerned. Great game. Just wondering.
Thanks,
Tarl
When do you hear voice-acting?

Neo Nugget
That would be the NPC's in the Eye of the North expansion. For example, if you go up to a norn, they'll greet you.
There are also fully voiced cutscenes throughout if that's what you were referring to.

Some other select NPC's have voice acting as well. Such as Shadow.

EoTN has NPC voice acting, but its been so long I forget if Nightfall does or not in later areas of the game..

Voice acting usually happens when you do Missions (and some storyline quests too I think). If you have EotN, when you use the merchants etc. the Asuran & Norn say things to you when you click on them, I think what they say depends on your rank for that area.
Ps. If you look on imdb and google you get pics etc. of the people who do the voice work
