Hello,
I played the free trial some time ago, and finally have time for another game. I bought the Trilogy off of the Steam Sale. I go to register and it asked if I wanted to link it to a previous account. I assumed this would be an easier process so I did it. Little did I know you need to know character information. I don't remember it, because it was some time ago and wasn't a name I commonly use... I emailed support, they responded fairly quickly with follow up questions. I then replied, but apparently my formatting was wrong because they responded again saying so. I responded a third time, and its been nearly 24 hours without an answer now.
Is there any other recourse I have short of waiting on my thumbs until they respond? What if they don't respond? I apologize, I'm new and I didn't understand. I would have never linked it as there is probably like 3 level 2's on it...
any advice would be appreciated...
Bought GW from Steam sale, linked to trial...

They WILL respond, though... it'll take a while. You were better off starting a new account from scratch.

Yeah the live team is pretty much a skeleton crew these days but they will help you out so just be patient.

I'm not entirely sure on what she recommends you try before you bring it up with her, but if you are seriously concerned about whether or not your attempt at contacting support with this issue is still being processed/moving along as it should then you could try contacting Gaile Gray the support liaison on the official Guild Wars wiki.

She often speeds things up or puts them back on track when they've fallen by the wayside. Just be careful about posting personal/account information her talk page. I would reccommend emailing her using the link in the side bar (you will need an account) or simply reading her FAQs, they will certainly advise you in the right direction.
Alternatively, wait 24 hours like the others above suggested. Guild Wars is experience a big influx of old players come back for the birthday event/GW2 info/War in Kryta event and so a lot of people might be contacting support at the moment, delaying responses more than usual.

Check if you have a screenshot of ingame activities. I think the folder name is "screens" or something. If you took a screenshot of your ingame activities you could probably see your ingame name there.
