Is there some sort of Damage meter in the game?

I'm trying to work out whether it's currently worth it to keep my pet with my W/Ra build right now and see what sort of damage it does wtih various points in BM (between zero and 3 points currently), but can't really track the pet's damage compared to mine and henchies.

Any way to track this?

Not sure what you mean by "track it". You should see the damage numbers from your pet as you attack a foe.
The best way to observe the damage numbers for testing would be to go to the Isle of the Nameless, just off off the Great Temple of Balthazar, and use the testing/practice dummies.

But I don't think there is any way to "track it" other than writing down the damage numbers you observe as you change things. Your pet won't do a lot of damage with just 3 in BM anyway. With that level of BM your pet basically acts as a body-blocker, which isn't much help to a Warrior.

Gotcha. By track it, I meant a way to look at the numbers for the pet and myself after a battle. During the fight it's a little hard to follow with everything going on. I may just see if I can find a single enemy and send my pet on it to see how it does, but during chaotic fights, I can't always (heck, can't often) see what my pet is up to, other than "it's fighting something, and it's not dead."

Like Arduin said, go to Isle of the Nameless (off Great Temple of Balthazar), go right and attack the Master of Damage.

With just 3 in BM, it will also disable all your skills for AGES when it dies. For this reason I don't take a pet at all, unless I'm going to put a lot of points into BM.

I knew about the Master of Damage, but I neglected to mention it, partly because he doesn't really "track" the damage, he just tells you how much damage you are doing every few seconds and then gives a few final results. If you want to keep track, you would still need to write things down as you go. The MoD doesn't give you any sort of a chart.

@Tomkatt - given what you said in your last post, you should go to the Isle of the Nameless to do your testing. Also, keeping in mind what Riot said about your skills being disabled, (another thing I neglected to mention), you are probably better off not to use a pet.

Yeah, I didn't know about the skill disabling. I've had it happen a few times recently but assumed it was an enemy skill since it happened several times on the same mission and it was the 1st time I'd seen it.

Maybe those points (and that slot) would be better spent...

If you are serious about using your pet, then put more points into BM and add BM skills to your bar. A pet can be a valuable extra party member is he is handled correctly.

For a Warrior, definitely. You can run anything you want in PvE and be successful, but pets are generally sub-par.
