Can you ignore people on here?

There's a couple people I find very obnoxious and I would like it if I could just ignore them and not see their posts anymore. Is there a way to do it?

Yes, the forum has an ignore list.

Go to User CP. On the side, in the third section ("Settings & Options",) there's a link for "Edit Ignore List"

That should make their posts invisible to you by default, but I'm not sure how it affects PMs. I doubt it will keep you from seeing the contents when their posts are quoted by other users.

You will also be able to see that they have posted, just not the content. Personally, I find it more annoying that I know they posted, but not being able to see what it is. It's like I'm being teased . Members (unless something has changed) are unable to ignore moderators or administrators.

While I really find it immature to ignore people on here (I say this as any reason I consider a reasonable reason to ignore someone would result in a ban I'm fairly sure...), I am curious as to whether there is a cap to the ignore list like the in-game one being limited to ten.

If it's just a petty disagreement (*cough* about pressing c-spacing to tell your heroes not to attack the target with ss on it for example *cough) is it really worth ignoring someone over, when they could in another thread post something useful that you might not find out about without them?



edit: if there isn't a cap...why am I not on everyone's ignore list yet?

I'm actually quite glad I've found out about this. I just hope the forums don't wind up looking very empty on my account once I'm through

You could just scroll very quickly so that you are unable to read what they wrote ;-) Like Luny said, having it show you that they did post and not having any idea what so ever what it could say would drive the curiosity insane ;-) But just skimming over a post once you realize it's worthless is fairly easy you know ;-)

@End - How do you know you are not on a lot of ignore lists?

@Earth - I believe that most of the bans occur in the Ventari section; if you don't visit it, you might not see most of them.
