I'm really not sure what causes this, so i thought id come here for help
I play guild wars on my macbook pro bootcamped with windows 7
i always have my guild wars sound turned off, but for some reason as soon as i launch guild wars, all other sound instantly becomes muted as well.

Heres an example; I am streaming music off of pandora in internet explorer and I start guild wars. As soon as the client opens, all sound on my computer is instantly muted and nothing I do can get sound back. However, I can unmute guild wars and hear sound from ONLY guild wars.

Has anyone had this problem and does anyone have a solution so that I can listen to music and use vent?

Guilds are irrelevant. This... is...... BUILD WARS!!!

Hm... I've never had this problem. Seems like more of an issue with either your computer settings, or the settings of the other programs you're using.

Ive just about given up hope of this working.
I could understand it being computer settings if this problem affect anything until guild wars runs...

As far as other programs, well all ive ever had running was safari or vent and those work fine until guild wars launches

Eh..

The only thing I can think of is maybe goof around with some of your sound card's properties. It could have something to do with guild wars being a full screen program. Seems unlikely but it's worth a shot.

do you have any extensions to the command line on the gw shortcut? I don't know much about Macs but any media player or sound card related parameter added to that could cause the problem you are experiencing.
