Or we can just discuss all the same stuff here without having to visit another site or to download something.
Dutch Sunshine
Yeah, all true, but our policy is to bring you news in a different manner, we are not there to go and speculate, we're there to state the facts.
Anyway, everyone has to make their own choice wether or not to download the magazine. We are not forcing you to do so..

some people just love to be an ass... that's why this community is dying... but Im glad that somebody take the time to do this kind of stuff thank you very much downloading the magazine
StormDragonZ
It's cute... but that's all it is.
For the record, any more issues you decide to do should have much, much better editing done. Too many spelling and grammatical errors.

Dutch Sunshine
I'm aware of that fact, but coming closer to this issue just did take away too much time for the most of us to actually check the gramar. For the next issue we'll surely get a better editor to check the magazine at those errors.
Beren985
Wow. I'm impressed. I wasn't expecting something of this quality. It looks really good! The design and the art are amazing, the only thing that you need now is to convince Blue to draw for you xD I had only time to skim it, I'll dig deeper when I have a little more time, but overall it looks quite good.
Good job!
Good job!
Jinkies
I think this is really cool and I'd like to see more.
Dutch Sunshine
You'll definitly see more of us, we're already planning ahead for issue 2 and even got some fun articles done already!
lemming
i think you guys should cover the monthly
But I may be biased.
But I may be biased.
Dutch Sunshine
We will have PvP in our next issue, in what form, I cannot say.
Motoko
Not everybody is fascinated with hexes and seeping would with the occasional 4 eles running around lemming.
^_^ you could have just covered the march monthly and it would have covered for the april one too

Have to say, it does look pretty good. Some may say it is a bit too late for GW, but I hope you guys keep it going cause it will be an interesting thing come GW2
Dutch Sunshine
Ofcourse we looked ahead, and we thought that we would better build up a name now, and then go full-on towards the GW2 release. You will see us in the future, be sure of that
Oster
Pretty cool, I'm glad people are still taking steps to keep Guild Wars alive and interesting.
Darcy
Great job. I am impressed by all the work your team has done. As you know, some areas need improvement, but for a first issue, kudos.
Garreth MacLeod
Nice job for the first issue. Didn't have time to read everything...yet. But I liked what I saw. I do agree a little better editing would help. Maybe a run through a spell/grammar checker would help.
Scarlett Romanov
Better editing is needed. I actually wanted to read the MantleCon stuff but the errors made it painful to get through.
Malla13
That was way more than I was expecting it to be. Grammatical issues aside, this is really nifty. Great work. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Charlie Dayman
Neat, I was wondering when this would be finished. Wasn't sure if you guys had gotten the green light form Anet. I'll have a read through this later tonight.
And thanks for putting some of my art in there.

If you want to tell jokes, tell them where there's already people, not on a small site that will be given up on.
Kerwyn Nasilan
Interview was all I skimmed through but looks nice.
Ashigaru
You made a very good job guys
dancing gnome
Grats on the interview with Ree Soesbee. She gave some nice meaty answers and brought a little more information to the GW2 collection. If you guys could get an interview/Q&A each month it would obviously help hook people into reading the mag and maybe some of the other content. Over time this would keep people interested long enough for you to grow into your own comfort zone.
Good work on the layout, it was easy to read and it looked good. Using relevant concept art not only showed off the art but also helped focus on the content of the articles. The navigation buttons were cool and overall the pdf thing works, I just can't help thinking, for a number of reasons, a website would be vastly superior.
Personally, a lot of the content was just repeating things I had already read elsewhere, but with things like the Great Dragons, it acts as a good primer for people who haven't had the time to chase down all the individual interviews and sources, or simply just forgot. There isn't a lot you could do to avoid this (as there is only so much new content that exists) but if you can focus on primers for the players, particularly about topical issues, I could see this developing into something which carves out a nice little niche for itself. On that topic, I can't help but feel an opportunity was missed by choosing fire as the first issue's theme. The War in Kryta is very topical at the moment and jogging reader's memories on lore and events relevant to the Shining Blade and White Mantle histories would have been very cool.
My final comment is that an almost 40mb file is very large. If I was still on dial up this would be enough to eliminate me from even considering downloading it. If it was a web page, you could release the content at different intervals, increasing chances of individual articles being read and people wouldn't have to download such a large file to read one article. A website would also ad an interactive element to the "magazine" in the form of comments.
With all that said, great first issue guys. I really hope you keep with this, it could turn into something really good for the community.

Nicely done! I wonder how many peeps are interested in reading stuff about GW1, but like you said, it will gather a crowd for when you all start making Guild 2 Mag.

Think of those links as likened to a stranger offering you candy.
Dutch Sunshine
As I said in my post before yours QoD, we'll be having our private download link for the next few issues, which ofcourse will not have any trojans or other nasty stuff.

Don't go there children you could bet bitten by the mean old wolves and get a virus or a trojan and there goes your puter and your Guild Wars game.
Plus I never liked anyone trying to get free advertisement using game forums instead of contacting the administrator and getting a banner or something and PAY for it at the top.
Dutch Sunshine
I did contact JR, frankly enough, he's very supportive of our idea and you'll surely see that come back in our next issue!

I really don't see the logic in expecting a non-commercial community driven magazine to pay for advertising on a community forum, or shell out for expensive file hosting.

haven't got a lot of time for reading this today, but a quick look at your mag is really appealing !
Nice design, lore content, interviews, even music (GW faction one, haven't turn on music on GW since, humm ... almost 2+ years ??).
And thank for that BranShew7 youtube channel, very impressive !!!

Wish Swiftdeath
Don't usually post but that's a very pretty mag, i've read alot of the information in it before but I still enjoyed reading it. Thanks and keep up the good work
Dutch Sunshine
Wow, thanks for the positive comments so far, the community is the middle of our magazine, without you we wouldnt be there. That means, everyone can contribute, screenshots, artwork, lore, fanfic, music, you name it, we have a place for it(as long as it fits in a pdf )
Mini Lich
I, Quite Simply, could not get enough of this magazine, it is amazing that the community can do something this cool, and, to such a high standard, good job. By the way i see alot of people commenting on grammar and such, i would be willing to check over that for you, it would be nice to be involved, i have a advanced english course degree, and im english, if that helps.
Dutch Sunshine
I'll keep you in mind, but so far I've got enough applications for that post, might we figure that we need more editors in the future, we'll surely check who proposed it first!
Also, I'm really glad you liked the magazine
