Barbed Brute Sword of Enchanting (gold - req9)

Hi,

First post here, and a total newcomer to Guild Wars. (been playing just over a week!) This dropped for me tonight, and I'm wondering if I should sell it to a player rather than to the merchant as, being a monk, it's not much good to me.

Could anyone please give me some idea about the market value of the ENORMOUS sword in the screenshot below?

Truly, I've no idea whether this is any good or not. (I'm playing the Prophecies campaign and I've heard that there's better drops in Nightfall)

And if anyone wants to make an offer for it, please do!

First of all, welcome to Guild Wars.

As for your much prized loot - as you can see, the damage on it is 12-17, whereas the maximum damage for sword available is 15-22. Therefore, if you happen to fall upon non-max damage weapons, it's normally safe to assume that they can be sold to the merchant.

Having said that, you could expert salvage the 20% ench mod off the sword and sell it separately for ~1-3k.

Lastly, keep in mind that the PC section is for PC'ing items solely and not for offering them to players. If anyone is interested in a given item, he would often PM you about it, though you'd just be better off listing it in the other appropriate sections if you'd like to sell it.
