So, I saw this video in the QA section in this post: White Wing Aion Emote. At about 1:40 in the video, it shows the elementalist who is wearing obsidian armor cycle through a few of the boss auras on herself! I thought it looked pretty sweet ;-).

So, would you ever want to have your own personal boss aura?

Why or why not?
What achievement in the game would be good enough to qualify a person for geting their own boss aura?
Should it be given to an existing title track?
Should it require multiple title-track completion?
Should a new achievement/title of uber difficulty be introduced to try and attain your own boss aura?
What type of new achievement/title would be worthy of granting a person the ability to wear a boss aura?
If you were ever able to have a boss aura, should you be able to pick the color or be limited to the color of your profession?

Personally, i'd have to go with you can only get it with max KoaBD, yes i know everyone and their dog has it now. Also it be pointless to give it to a a pvp event because i'm sure it be like tonics and costumes, can't be worn in pvp.

That looks pretty awesome. Not entirely sure what tittle should allow you to use these tho. Most tittle-worthy things already have a tittle attached to...

PS: Maybe you could get it for having all the skills for a specific profession? Iunno.

Well there's already the divine aura to honor your profession with its colors. Actually I don't have it, but it's still more related than an aura designed specifically for bosses.

I think having a boss aura emote for characters with GWAMM would be fine, maybe as a quest reward (but not as a purchase from the store), but then I'm one of the players that was hoping we would get a personalised/customised green or red weapon instead of 3rd, 4th, and now 5th birthday present.....

It's not a hack, you just change something on your screen and has 0 impact on the game experience for anybody else, nor does it give you a unfair advantage.

Perhaps it could only be attained after having completed a certain number of Boss Bounties from the Z-Bounties? This would definitely prevent people from aquiring it quickly seeing as you could only do one a day. Maybe have that in conjunction with the requirement of other titles? idunno. No matter how it is acquired, it should be quite difficult so that auras are not given out lightly.

That would be a fun title for many, maybe not all, but a lot. I think Anet should start adding a couple more titles so players have more choices to what they want to grind.

35 titles would definitely be quite a hard achievement seeing as you have to get multiple account wide titles that are quite expensive and time consuming to be able to reach 35. But is it hard enough to qualify for a boss aura?

is there anything that could be required for the boss aura that would be even harder than aquiring 35 maxed titles? ;-) (other than like 40 maxed titles, lol. maxing pvp titles would be a bit over the top

)

It is hacking, by definition. It requires modification of a program to alter its behavior in a way that it will not normally perform. It is software hacking.

Tbh i don't find it cool at all - just ugly. There are ofc a lot of armors/armor combos i find unpleasant (and probably a lot of mine are found horrible by others

) but those are way less noticeable then this.

That 'boss glow' does look kind of cool, but it's a bit late in the game to be adding more title rewards, maybe something like it in GW2 for whatever their equivalent is for GWAMM...

Alternately, maybe just make it a quest reward... kill EVERY boss in the game and get a cool glow emote, because Guild Wars isn't about the grind.

35 titles? Nah, make it 40... make people work for it

this is one option. never thought of that. it wouldn't make the aura as exclusive as it could be, but i definitely would prefer it over costumes that they are coming out with. ;-) would definitely lead into the situation of multi-color glowing towns, lol. perhaps have an option where you could turn it off if you'd like, like post-process effects or something of that nature.

Just popping this out now but maybe a tittle similar to skill hunter,but named Boss Hunter...

To get the aura,you'd need to kill every boss in game in HM...

Maybe add something to make it harder,but if I were to add the tittle myself I'd base it around that.

Guild Wars needs more titles like it needs more bots... it's bad enough that they were selling GWAMM titles in the form of EotN.

That could come as a free title while vanquishing. I'm but then the bosses in the elite areas would be counted as well.

Superfluous though it may be there are no shortage of people who would have an absolute shit attack over a 35 title ceiling. I like the idea--it rewards dedication or grind depending purely on perspective.
