Is it worth my purchasing the first relase of this game and play, or is it just way to late becuase everyone is so lvled.

I have been playing another RPG but my account has been cleaned out 2 times now and feel it time to move on,

Does this game have problems with Hacks also>?

Thank you in advance on your advise

GW is different than WoW (or whatever you were playing). It does not matter how leveled everyone else is. You can get max damage weapons and max armor quite early on and there are no stronger versions available to other players. So your only real disadvantage in PvP would be a lack of experience and the need to acquire skills. In PvE, there is no PvP, so you won't have to fight higher leveled characters.

Unfortunately, getting your account cleaned out happens in GW too.

Oh, and yes, it's worth getting the Trilogy (or Complete Collection), which has all three campaigns, since the price is really low these days.

GW would be a great game for you to play. You will only be out-dated in experience level since the level cap is only 20 and you get this before you even finish the game easily. GW is a game of skill ;-).

As for hacking, it mostly only happens when you are careless and have ur account info being used in other places or you get scammed by trusting someone with ur info. Other than that, it's not really a big threat.

With ArenaNet, your account name is your email address. To help prevent hacks, open a temp account with hotmail and use that as your account name. Supply your normal email address as your contact address. Once your account info is confirmed, you never need the hotmail account again. Just keep your contact info up to date. It also helps to use a complicated password.

As for time, you have lots of time. This game is not going away anytime soon. Max level is 20; max damage armor and weapons can be obtained fairly early in the game. Once you have both everything else is vanity skins with no increase in damage or protection. Once you reach level 20, the tutorial is over and it's time to get serious. Gather skills and learn to use them in synergized character and team builds.

Check out guru's Campfire section. Each subforum has a stickied basics thread that gives you info on each profession. Secondary professions are not important in the beginning as by the time you have attribute points to spare for them, you will be able to change your secondary.

Alternatively, if you use GMail (maybe other systems support this) you can use the trick of:

[email protected]

The +anything will be ignored by GMail (it just goes to your account, though you can filter on it) but it gives you a distinct login just for GW that you shouldn't use for anything else (including the GW Guru forums).

Or in simpler terms - GW is not gear oriented.

That's only simpler if you know what "not gear oriented" means.
