I need help with a heroway build to fight Mallyx w/o con set preferably
I've tried the one on pvxwiki but for some reason they can't survive when we get hit with 2 groups.

the idea is to kill as fast possible. so call one target and kill 1 by 1 fast.
this gives necro enrgy to heal.
it can be demanding. thats why you should only fight on 1 front at a a time.
go outside the circle if you have to but dont let the snake die.
also on the end try the mallyx bug and lure him out of chamber

Have you tried platoonway? You can repalce the DWG by any heavy dmg dealer (endurance war, dagger sin and put SoH on a hero). For mallyx you should replace 1 MM by the CS hero from mallyx heroway, micro him to take down the spirits at mallx and you should be fine.

Maybe it isn't exactly a problem with the build but a problem with something else

I think Eragon is right. I think you just need to work on your aggro managing. Learn the patrols and pull accordingly to avoid getting multiple groups on you. It may take longer but its better than wiping.

Yea I tried it again, but I made a few changes to suit myself and guildies.

I did this a few days ago with a friend, running this:
N/Mo AotL Minion Bomber with Prot Spirit + Aegis
Dom Mesmer with VoR, Backfire, Empathy, a few interrupts
2x Spirit spammers
N/Rt healer
UA Smiter
2 player Elementalists
We'd used the same build to clear Veil and Gloom. Getting to Mallyx was completely painless; I don't think we suffered deaths. Killing Mallyx himself was a bit confusing since I didn't know what Mallyx did and didn't bother checking. He barely scratched us but he kept healing himself. Eventually we disabled all the hexes on the Dom Mesmer and Mallyx died.

I just wanted to say that I used the build linked to by Aria Frost last night and it worked great! The heroes all did their jobs with little micro and it all went very smoothly without a single death on the team. I didn't use the door trick and fought Mallyx and his pals on his platform but they went down pretty fast. I would never have thought to use a Dervish but Melonni was a whirlwind. Nice build - gg to whoever came up with it and posted it.
It was only my second trip through that quest chain so I still have a lot to learn. Now to do it all again until I get enough gems to get a stupid Tormented Weapon. Oh, and I plan to always start with the Foundry just to get it out of the way.

All I have left of the 7-Hero Mallyx team that was posted at PvX are the skill templates. The author deleted the page before I saved any of his narrative. From what I recall, he used Necromancers in the Ritualist roles to capitalize on Soul Reaping. I think that the character he played was an Elementalist; my character was a Necromancer. This team is for Normal Mode.

I used Ritualists for the SoGM, SoS, and ST Shelter builds plus a Necromancer for the Weapon Healer. Other than that, I used strategy tips from older threads about Mallyx about flagging the team around the priest and kill order to make it through the waves. Hope that helps.
