W/R

When a character learns a skill (character creation/secondary, skill quest, buy from skill trainer, signet of capture) the skill is unlocked on the player's account. Once a skill is unlocked it can be used by any hero or PvP character on the account. A different PvE character must either learn the skill himself through the same methods or use a skill tome.

I'll say the same thing, but hopefully a little different. What was said is true, but maybe not easy to understand.

Your W/R can learn any Ranger skill he has found a quest that rewards them, a trainer that sells them, or a boss to capture them from. This unlocks the skill. Now, if you make a new character (a Ranger) if will not start with those skills the W/R learned. It starts off the way all characters do, with nothing available. However, any skill unlocked on the account can be learned from ANY skill trainer in the campaign the skill is from. Tomes, which drop from chests and monsters in Hard Mode can also be used to learn a skill that is unlocked on the account. Elite skills have to be captured from the boss(es) that have that skill, or learned from an Elite Skill Tome (if it was unlocked).

Unless there is a skill only available late in the game, don't waste time/money on skills your Warrior won't use. Since I doubt you are using a bow, any Marksmanship skill will be useless to a Warrior. If there is a skill you would want to use early on that is not available from a skill trainer until late in the game, then go ahead and use the Warrior to learn it if it has reached that skill trainer. This will allow the Ranger to have access to the skill from any skill trainer in the skills campaign.
