Raising Ranks

I’m sure this was asked before, but I am new to PvP and have tried to play in hero's assent to raise my rank but no one seems to want to pick you or they have their own type of players in mind. Sometimes when I do get picked, I get kicked in a few seconds with no reason as to why.

My question is, can you raise your rank with out having to go through hero’s assent?

None, retired to GW2.

Short Answer: NO

Long Answer: HA is very elitist since you do not have a rank you will most likely get kicked off any team almost right away unless you get with a guild that is more experienced but will still allow you on a team you most likely will not get on a decent HA team anytime soon.

No, rank is tied to HA. If you want to raise your rank you have to join a guild that will help you do that or just be very persistent. If you don't have a rank and try to join a ranked team you will normally be kicked.

I thought so
I am part of a guild, but I never asked anyone to join me in HA. There are items that you can’t access without a higher rank, which is want I am trying to do
Thank you for your reply

The same thing has happened to me and there is only one way to advance. Play lame builds (overpowered meta builds) in the dead hours. You can find all the way-builds here - Category Team Builds. Check out which are the current builds in Heroes Ascent and try to cover most of the midline builds. Nekro or elementalist spamm-builds. Now you have good chances to be picked in a team, if there is noone else to be picked. You should know that it won`t be an easy start and you`ll have to wait a bit, gaining point by point with no runs. If you know how to use your head you`ll make some friends that might drag you into the high-end PvP.

No items require any fame to get. If your only reason for playing ha is that, you don't have to.

The reason why I want to play HA is for the rank

I thought that you needed rank to gain items like the caos gloves or items like that??? I am still figuring the game out

I think you're thinking of "Reputation" title track ranks, not fame. Certian PvE armors & itmes in EotN require you to reach rank 5 in various title tracks (in the case of Chaos gloves, you need rank 5 in the Deldrimor title track) If that's what you mean, then you can skip the whole HA headache and take your character through EoTN (be sure to get a story book to help with gaining points!) Chaos gloves are tied to reputation which is PvE stuff and not associated with HA. You play HA becuase it's fun and/or to get a rank emote.
