If I activate Arcane Echo and then cast Spiteful Spirit.... does AE simply allow me to cast SS sooner without having to wait for the recharge of the real SS... in other words it just provides for quicker casting... OR, if I cast SS again via AE before the first SS wears off, do I get SS stacking for double the damage ?

Thanks

Buffs/debuffs don't stack. This includes any stance/shout/enchantment/hex/condition.

It will simply allow you to cast it again. The idea is to cast it on a second target so they both cause damage, if you recast it on the original target then all it will do is refresh the timer on it.

When you cast Arcane Echo you are 'enchanted', you are actually under the enchantment Arcane Echo. While under this enchantment, the next spell you cast replaces the slot on your skill bar that Arcane Echo is in. So you end up with 2 copies of a spell on your skill bar. So, if using SS like you describe, it would look like this:

[Arcane Echo][Spiteful Spirit]
{Spiteful Spirit][Spirit Spirit]

Each copy acts exactly as the original spell, but has a seperate recharge.

No Double damage...like the 1st reply said...

I'm trying to make something clearer tho, buffs and debuffs DO stack (sometimes)

BUT the same hexes, enchantments, etc DO NOT STACK

If you recast X hex on a foe hexed with X,all it will do is "reset"the time of the hex. If you cast Y hex on a foe hexed with X hex, both X and Y hexes will stay.

If you cast the same hex on the same target, you will only refresh the hex's duration, as pointed out above. However, you could cast SS on a second target, so both targets would damage each other.
