I have not played for a long time,so my memory on the game basics are fading

Alright,so I'm about to buy this Mursaat Hammer with not so good stats.

Fiery Mursaat Hammer of Fortitude.
Fire Dmg - Max
Q10 Hammer Mastery
Health+29
Inscription: To the Pain!
Damage+15%
Armor -10 (While Attacking).

Is it possible for me to erase all those stats and get some better ones?Basically what I wanna erase is.

Fire Dmg for "Normal" dmg.(Was guessing buying a Sundering mod would fix it)
Health +29 for Health+30 . (Was guessing buying a +30 Fortitude mod would fix it)
Armor -10 (While Attacking). Now that really annoys me and I really hope I can somehow remove it

tl; dr: Yes.

More specifically, the armor -10 while attacking is the drawback to the +15% damage always mod. The best replacement for it (usually) with is +15% while over 50% health.

In order to "remove" modifications, you have to apply new ones.

Applying new ones is the only way to ensure your item stays in tact. You could technically remove inscriptions and mods with a salvage kit, but for most people there's a very high chance that the item itself (e.g. the hammer) will get destroyed in the process. I would not advise removing modifications this way, unless you don't care what happens to the item!!

ummmm......i think someone is forgetting about perfect salvage kits. not that i would use one for those mods by any means. just saying that if it had better mods that would be worth selling then it's an option without having to worry about the weapon itself being destroyed.

The "fiery" part comes from a Hammer Haft. You can replace it with any other one, such as a Sundering Hammer Haft.

Yes - use a +30 Hammer Grip of Fortitude. http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Weapon_upgrade

The Armor-10 is part of the Inscription. Simply replace it with whatever Inscription you like better. Check here for available choices: http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Inscription

None of the mods on the that hammer are worth anything, so it's best just to apply the new mod right over the old one. However, if you did want to keep any of them, you would want to remove them using a Perfect Salvage Kit (from EotN) so you don't destroy the hammer.
