Max Chests for WiK Areas

My suggestion is to make the chests in the WiK areas be like they are in other areas with max level enemies and drop items that are Maximum damage. We are fighting higher level enemies(most of which are harder than even Mursaat in the Ring of Fore Islands) so we should have chests in these areas(those of us who have unlocked WiK and now play a totally different version of the areas) that reflect the change. People that haven't unlocked it don't see the new enemies and as such the chests that are there wouldn't reflect this change.

definitely, increased difficulty = increased chest quality. just the same as going from NM to HM, Should have higher lvl chests when WiK mobs are running around.

I like chests. And I agree with the icreased diffiulty portion of this. A mob of PeaceKeepers and their darn monks and rits can be a P.I.T.A.. especially at levels 26-30.

But back to the OP. I like your idea on better chests. If not max weapons though... AT LEAST NO GRAPES!!!!

Totally logical! Agree on that!

If you want higher quality items, switch to HM and get Locked Chests instead of Krytan Chests. If you are complaining about Locked Chests in HM not giving the quality you want, that is the same as everywhere else. So I don't see this as an issue for just Kryta (WiK areas).

If you have access to the Peacekeepers then you have access to HM, so better chests are available. And although I'd love to get better drops from any chest, I don't think it is a problem with the way they designed it.

I would agree with you if the number of War Supplies was increased for HM. At the moment it makes no sense to run the Courier in HM because you get the same amount in NM. We are however fighting level 20 enemies, and as such the chests should be better in that area or equal to that of chests in areas with level 20 enemies. Why should the chests not be different when the level of the enemies is higher and they have primary/secondary attributes Magma? Just want to know your logic on the subject.

/signed because this is just a limited event for only a couple of months. As said above hm/ nm doesn't effect the drop rate of orders so what's the point of going hm just to have to get your butt kicked or get high end chests. No one in their right mind would run courier runs in hm just for chests. Add a new weapon( yes again) to the chests in WIK areas+ have them benefit treasure hunter etc. If some of us can't get the greens due to overfarm might as well at least give us a chance of getting something better from chests

I don't think the White Mantle or Peacekeepers drop tomes either. I did HM runs all day on Saturday and didn't see a single tome drop from one.

As far as chests spawning like they do in EotN, I don't think it would hurt anyone.

Even hard mode drops aren't guaranteed to be max, so I see no reason some normal mode area with WEAK mobs should be given the advantage of better drops from chests.

Not happy with your loot, switch to hard mode. And before you complain that the White mantle/Peacekeeper mobs are too hard in Hard mode... they aren't, wandering Tengu groups regularly slaughter the Peace Keeper mobs in North Kryta Province, something they can't do in normal mode. The Peace Keeper mobs are relatively weak in Hard mode.

Most people doing the Courier quest are doing it as fast as they can so they can repeat it often. This means you don't waste time looking for chests. The Wanted bountied do offer more War Supplies for HM. I wouldn't mind seeing an increase in the WS reward for the Courier quest in HM, but I dont' see Faulken as a reason to increase chests.

The Peacekeepers only show up when you have access to HM. The region they are in does not have ONLY high level monsters, and only has high level monsters when HM is available. If they change the chests in ANY way, they need to change them completely. The chests would need to have a different key, a different status for Treasure Hunter, and of course a different drop rate source. In a sense, you are asking for Anet to remove Krytan Chests and put in White Mantle Chests (or some new name). I simply see no reason for this, as the chests already offer better rewards when in HM, so either switch to HM or deal with crappy drops.

In normal mode the added Peacekeepers and White Mantle are only level 20 - their gold drops are also often nonmax. So if they were to update the chest they would logically need to be chests of level 20 areas, that is like Crystal Desert or Canthan chests.

Strangely I still open the Krytan Chests I come by while doing Falken runs, always some +lucky/unlucky points and I've already found actually nice drops in them - mostly runes but also a few gold drops with max mods.

No it means you don't go for the chests. It doesn't mean others don't want access to them. Secondly, if you don't do it in NM, why do you care whether or not it's implemented? Seems really illogical to me, honestly.
