Perma ban kind of harsh...

I used a bot for pvp out of curiosity, 5-6 times... and then got rid of it. It really was unfair.

Now i have perma ban .

1.Okay so my question is shouldn't there be a warning ban/temp ban and if you keep breaking the rules you get perma ban?

...because permaban for using it a couple times a looooong time ago then stopping after realizing how wrong it is and honestly I'm not an avid bot user but i do admit I did use it for a small amount of time in 5 years of plying GW which would be less than a week.

2. Does Anet have a record of player bot activity? Or is it just xxx account used it atleast 1 time in GW...= perma ban!

No, there is no excuse for using a bot - everyone knows it is a bannable offense.

Don't expect sympathetic responses here (more likely people will flame you).

I've actually wanted to bot sometimes as well.

You got exactly what you deserved.

When you log into the game, you abide by the ToS. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your actions and you will not break the rules.

You broke the rules. Simple as that. Doesn't matter if you tried it out of curiousity, then stopped, you still broke the rules. Thus, you deserve a permanent ban.

Next time, follow the rules and you won't have to worry about this.

As this is a Fansite which has no authority or control over ANET, Plaync or actions such as account banning, etc - I'm closing this thread. This is also because we can't answer these questions (for stated reasons). Also closing before this turns into more of a flamefeast.

If you have an issue with being banned, you will need to take it up with GW support (http://www.guildwars.com/support/) and lodge an e-mail or ticket with them.
