So I logged in yesterday into my 2nd acct (use primarily for storage & pre-to-post mules), only to find that it have been "suspended" due to "unacceptable name" (code=045). While I totally understand the need to prevent offensive/rasist/pornographic content from being shown to minors, I first question why during an already hectic time for support they would add this kind of item to the list at the same time. I mean come on, not busy enough with people contesting there bans!!!
Second it doesn't indicate which character and how it can be address (seeing as I can't login in to change). So since name changes are a "service" with a few, Am I going to have to pay for this? And why not just do a check during character creation in order to prevent "bad" names from even existing? It seems silly to scold me for something done 3 years ago!
Finally, I feel that a 72 hour temporary ban of the whole account (not just the incorrectly named character) is bit excessive for the 1st "warning"! Also after searching the Anet support site, GW website, and official wiki, I could not find any place that actually listed the durations for non-perm bans. So is it all the same periods for each code or are some worse? And does it go up (longer) for 2nd infraction?
Just curious if others experienced this too and to get user feedback. Thanks!
Other non-BAN Activities (like Suspension for "unacceptable name"; Code=045!) too?
