This Weekends Event?

Does anyone know why they removed the x2 reputation points that we had last year for this years event? I was really looking forward to it till a guildie pointed out that the x2 was removed this year.

The "Double Rewards for Vanquishing" actually happened only once - last year, last weekend of may. Usually (both before and after may 09) it's just "Double Gold, Scrolls and XP for Vanquishing". So I wouldn't say they "removed" it, more liked tryed it and opted not to implement it again.

Starting at Noon Pacific (-7 GMT) this Friday, receive double the gold and experience rewards when you successfully vanquish certain areas in Hard Mode. In addition, we've doubled the drop rate of scrolls, and scroll effects will last twice as long as normal. These bonuses last through Sunday at 11:59 PM Pacific (-7 GMT).

perhaps they took out the double faction in vanquishing since there were multiple other double faction weekends. (donate double, competitive mission double, AB double)

IIRC, they've always been inconsistent in the wording of these vanquishing events, and it's always the same each time with everything doubled, including reputation points. I guess we'll know in a couple hours for sure.

It is definitely double reputation too. I'm vanquishing Ferndale, making this the second bonus weekend in a row for kurzick faction. A little less than last time: last weekend I got around 100k title points/vq, now I'm getting around 80k title points/vq.

Yeah it is x2 for a completed vanq. got 23k instead of the usual 11k-ish for DT. After guildie said otherwise and checking wiki (which mentioned rep. was included last year but not this) guess it was a false alarm. Should get max Kurzick this weekend, woohoo 
P.s. -Vodka- I know one of my guildies been doing vanq's for LB or SS, they say yes. Never done those during this type of event so can't confirm.
