Well Chris on that note you cannot forget you can get a blue collectors Dwarven Axe in Central Transfer Chamber for a little over what ? 10k ? Serpent drop gold inscribable as well so those 2 skins in fact connot be considered rare Can we really count the Crystalline skin as being rare since that 2 can be aquired easily in pre searing We all know the rarest skin in the game is the Canthan Dragon Staff. Only drops purple and gold and its a rare drop to get. Is there a green or collectors weapon using that skin ? I do not think so. Before we get some people thinking Bo is rarer I will pre-chuckle my lol's.

I know this thread isnt about skin thou but again, there are many factors that go into the thought of whats the rarest item in the game. I will stick with my thought that its a bad subject and its asking for a WAR lol.

Cleavage, 6-26 or 6-27 was way before Hard Mode Came out, Panda from rawr had it. There was talk about him using it in one Tourney. He was gvging with Tribal Axe. That what I heard soo I don't know.

Gold Max dmg Sickles did exist when 2 chests were spawn in proph. One the chests drop 5-10 weapons, other one drop 5-10 armors. People were getting Max dmg gold Crystallines, Serpant Axes, Dwarven Axes, Sickles, etc....

"Count"? What and who's count? Lots of people dont participate in counts. So who knows how many of what are out there. If you really want to mess it up... what weapons were most likely duped? Probably not the swamp club, eh.

Different things, that's also the problem - thread lacks focus. Generally in GW "rarest" is simply an 1-of and there are many of them in different flavors. Since a weapon can be a 1-of and still there can be a strictly better one, all this talking about "rarest ever" can get pretty awkward. And we have to remember that some uberrarities never hit the market but sit in finder's collection who may not realise it's value. Accounts of players who quit in 2005/06 hide many pleasant surprises.

in the age of the r 8 15>50 crystallines i kept count of all of them as best i could.
now realistically is there a possibility one, MAYBEE two escaped my knowing about it? possibly, although unlikely given the absolutly immense resources i had at my disposal in terms of finding and aquiring rare weapons.

as for how many there were; 4. as previously mentioned theres a small possibility that there were maybee 1 or 2 others but the fact is most were gotten from HOH chests and most of those guys (while not traders like i was) werent total imbicils and were aware of their value and more often than not pormptly sold them.
now, out of the 4 that i knew of 2 passed through my hands at different points in my GW career; both of which are now on dead accounts. 1 other, the first one i aquired, was customized by yours truly. the last one was also customized, even before i aquired mine.
So, good luck finding one.

as for the unconditionals; i possess 4 of them, including the 14% uncond serpent axe. honestly i havent played in so long i dont quite remember what the last 3 are. i know ones a r9 15% gladius and 1 of the last 2 is an axe, i think r11 15% and i believe the last ones a sword r8 13%, but i could be mistaken as i'd have to search my mule accounts and to be honest i barely can recall the account names...heh. i also have one of the only perfect magmas shields.
(and you dont even wanna know how many perfect r7s i have)

edit: now that i recall, i think 1 of my unconds might possibly be the 14% uncond mursaat hornbow...ill have to check on that one

Has anyone seen a nicely dual-modded inherent Wooden or Stone Chakram?

Those have been dropping since the beginning in Prophecies. I get the impression it's a rare skin drop from any Mesmer foe, as I've seen them drop from Ascalon Gargoyles and Stone Summit Sage.

These are Mesmer offhands, so they're unlikely to be anywhere near as well-known or in demand as the more popular gear like swords. Still, the inherent versions seem awfully rare.

Same question for nicely dual-modded inherent claw-skin Grim Cestas. I know the skin has been dropping since the beginning, but I've never seen a nice max inherent version.

The above are relatively easy to find with inscription slots, though.

Yes, your right... think I've seen some nice claw-skins oldschool Grim Cestas, but not 100% sure. Also I think I have never seen a nice req8 Wooden or Stone Chakram I can remember, but maybe that's just because they aren't demanded that much, so a lot of ppl think they are not worth selling?

Talking about offhands, Paper Lanterns are also very rare. Eir has a req8 +5ar^50% +28HP one, best req8 Paper Lantern I know. Also very few perfect req9s around only. And they don't come inscriptable! So very exclusive offhand skin

Oh... and what's very rare is Tyrian req8 5nrg weapons *cough* I also have a WTB-Thread running there for them *cough*.

I don't know if they can even come with req7... but I only know of maybe a dozen or less req8 5nrgs from Tyria I've seen in all my GW time...

I've seen a lot more than that. I myself have had at least 5 over the last few years. Ram Hammer, War Axe, Hand Axe, Long Sword, Cleaver. Those I've had, and I've seen plenty of others....
