About 25-30 min ago I was in ToPK farming tombs and i was in the process of selling my inventory to merchant when i got banned. Now I'm not going to sit here and cry the same ol' story, but suffice to say I have never even visited any botting sight or even used TextMod or whatever else programs people are using. Just 2 questions: 1) Why would I now get banned a week after the fact, even though I have been playing everyday since the bans went into effect? And 2 What is the email again for support and what info do i need to provide to them?
Thanks in advance for reading this and any help/advice you may have

They said they'll continue to ban people, just not in a big mass like the first ban-wave etc etc. If you're innocent you'll be unbanned (eventually) if not, no point in posting here, contrary to what you might think, posting "im innocent thread" in Guru to get support, doesn't improve your chances when it comes to emailing the gq support to be unbanned ;P

Not all bans were because of botting. Some bans were because of match manipulation. If you were completely innocent of ANY bannable offense, contact support. If, however, you have done anything at all, EVER, that violates the terms of use, contacting support won't help unless it was a minor infraction that warrants a suspension instead of a ban.

With mass bannings, it's not unrealistic that a few might be innocent. However I'm sure most accounts are banned correctly. If you feel the ban against you was unjustified, just use a civil tone and contact support, tell them your story and kindly ask that they review your situation and unban your account. This helped for me when my account was banned before (for another circumstance), and Anet staff was actually helpful and supportive and gave my account back without much delay. So just give it a try

were you perma banned? or just temp for something like a stupid name or raging in all chat? Cause im pretty sure Dhuum comes out and scythes anyone that is banned now, not just the perma-bans.

Well, some people I know ingame had screenshots of botters in PVP, not the injection interrupt bots, but the random moving/random skill using bots that wander around like headless chickens using skills completely random (like using heal skills when full healed, defense skills while isolated), mainly in JQ.
This kind of bots is probably pixel-based, so it was not caught in the mass-ban wave.
However, seeing that Anet is now caring about bots, those people decided to send the screenshots with detailed reports on what happened to Anet's support, even if the infractions were a month old. Now the botters were still playing after the ban, but if Anet is working on the new reports, those ones will be banned with time.
So we'll expect to see banned people popping up from time to time thanks to those screenshots, and they will probably be banned while doing something else, maybe a month after the violation, even if after Dhuumsday they stopped completely their botting.
If that's the case don't even bother with support, save your time. Yes, I read the opening post, and I don't want to be offensive, I'm not saying you used a bot, but many people have come to this forum to say "I was banned, but I never botted", then changed to "I was banned but I forgot I botted just 10 steps in town." then moved to "I was banned but I just farmed 5 minutes with LB/SS bot and stygian trapper bot". You get the picture.
If you really didn't use a bot, and didn't violate any of the TOS/EULA, I can only wish you to get your account back.
Good luck.

I'm closing this thread - question has been answered and this is not the place to discuss the whole banning of accounts, botting, etc.. if you wish to do this go to Riverside.
If you wish to take this up with Anet, contact GW support: http://www.guildwars.com/support/default.php
