I've thought about deleting my rit occassionally, but ultimately decided against it. So far I've deleted 2 mesmers (one accidentally*), 1 ele, 1 necro, 1 dervish and 1 warrior.. all level 20 and a few with prestige armours.
I'm quite happy with my character lineup now so I'll only ever be deleting and remaking a PvP character now.

I have the same problem, and im cheap too. I have these pvp characters that ive had for over 3 years for some. They are almost 4 years old and i still use them. I always have a bad feeling when i delete a character because then i dont get to get minis, but ive come to realize that it isnt worth keeping characters now since gw2 is so close and sooner or later, to me at least gw1 won't matter. It will just be gw2 and these minis that i get, and think to myself should i sell it, but no i either put it in my hall, which has like 40 minis in it, or give it away. Is it really worth keeping a character now to get a mini. The best you could possibly get for a 1st year mini now is what 40k? I dont know but now its just too late to keep characters. thats my opinion.

Heh, I have a slot for every class and pvp, not to mention an extra warrior slot; my first was a runner, I skipped everything and only got the skills I needed to make the run from beacon's to drok's. Once Factions came out I gave that up, but by then birthday presents were coming out and I never really got around to delete him. Also have a second necro because I had a friend who started playing and I didn't want to delete any characters in order to play through with them. 2 wars + 2 necros + 1 ranger + 1 ele + 1 monk + 1 mes + 1 rit + 1 assassin + 1 derv + 1 para + 1 pvp = 13 slots, of which I think I bought 5 over the years. Granted I've been playing for 5 years so I don't mind helping Anet stay in business every now and then

My Necromancer. I spent so much on him because I basically created him for the looks. Rushed EotN with him,got him a sweet Asuran(reason I made him) set dyed White + Wayward Wand. I mean he's awesome looking but kinda useless. I guess I just happened to have money back then and was inspired by the "Show off your Necro" thread (Sometime I wonder how I managed to save up for Elite armor >.< )

P.S: He eventually finished Nightfall.

My paragon is the character that's used very very rarely nowadays. It started as a mule character, I then played a bit more and found it extremely fun to the point that I was considering making it my main. A few titles later I realized how boring this was getting (and was just going to get worse in the long run). The main problem is that it's hard to find stuff that's more efficient than the so called "imbagon" or stuff that doesn't require you to stop every few seconds to renew chants so that Aggressive Refrain doesn't wear out.

Part of me wants to delete this character to give Necromancer another try. But then there's the full obsidian armor that I'm not willing to salvage, and the customized tormented spear. So my paragon serves as a mule (again) and occasionally gets out of retirement to help fellow guildies (mostly with survivor characters).

I have a ritualist PvP character that I still haven't deleted because it only has ~1 month to the next gift.

My original plan was to create one character of every class and have one additional pvp slot, so I bought 3 additional slots. Up to now, I brought 8 characters through all campaigns and acquired some titles, have a lvl 3 dervish in wait (currently mule) and 2 pvp chars fully acting as mules (I found out that I hate pvp).

The dervish is my next class to play. He is a 2 year old mule, but I hate his name, so he is probably the first older character of mine I intend to delete and recreate.

From all of my other (mature) lvl 20 characters, I will never delete one. Deleting those characters is like murdering them. I play all of them from time to time - there is no one I neglect. Even my warrior, although I don't really like melee very much. But from time to time, it's ok.

For my last character class, paragon, I don't know. Deleting any of my mules is not possible, so I will probably buy another character slot if I really want to start a paragon. It doesn't seem to be a particularly interesting class, though.
