Howdy..
My girlfriend is in America, and has the american version of the game, but.. I am from Britain and ofcourse have the British version...
Now i was wondering, if I were to buy her items such as... character slots and BMP's(Bonus Mission Pack) with a BRTISH Debit Card,
Would this work?
Would i expect a call from the bank?
Would the transaction go through?
Would Anet have a problem with this?
Great Quick Answer, Thank you Darcy!!

You can only purchase items in an on-line store (NCSoft or In-Game) if you are logged in on the account. It will not matter where your card is from as long as it is valid. I use an American debit card to purchase research credits on English and Scottish government sites without problems. If your bank questions the transaction, you might have a delay in completing the purchase.
Also, if the bank does question the transaction, it might cause NCSoft to block the account for fraudulent credit card use. It seems they have some automated system set up that loses its AI mind occasionally.

I never used the GW store overseas. However, making purchases in Europe with a canadian credit card never gave me problems. As darcy said, the only real question is whether your bank will delay it or not.
EDIT: I actually got a call from my bank once concerning a purchase i made overseas (and a few times for purchases in my province), fraudulent transaction and all. I don't know what your bank's policy is but, when mine gives me a call like that the transaction is authorized right after i confirm it's legit and they always call if they think it might be fraudulent.

If in doubt - email support with the same question and when they reply keep the email - if they say it shud be fine ( probably will ) go thru the transaction procedure and if ncsoft blocks it or something then you email them and add a copy of their original answer . ncsoft should realise its a mistake on their end and rectify things

To add to Spiritz' answer, make the purchase on Monday or Tuesday, so that if a problem arises there will be time to rectify it before support closes for the weekend.

My personal experience with the NCSoft store is that as long as you're using the card from inside the country its registered to then the transaction will go through. I tried using my British card to buy something for my fiance's account while visiting him in South Africa and it didn't go through (suspected fraud). The transaction processed fine on the same card when I tried it from the UK after I got home though.

Note this. You can't log in with your account to purchase things for your GF. Anything you buy will be automatically added to your account - or the account you log in with. If you can log in to your GF's account, then there should be no problem (unless ANet thinks the account has been "compromised" and blocks it.)
