Seriuosly? Adventurer's Insight?

is it intended that some of the royal gift 'loot table' have such completely inappropriate items like the xp scrolls? maybe it was intended as the 'gotcha sucker' option. it seems like anyone doing the wik stuff is a little beyond that,

This is precisely why I'm holding on to all my War Supplies until they publish the use of the Medals of Honor. The gifts I did get, from the assassination quest, didn't really impress me aside from a couple Lockpicks and a Consumable.
Sir Baddock
Let's look at it this way, to maintain a game economy and not completely Build Wars it you need to have rewards that are sensible. As an example the Scroll of Adventurers Insight, I'm not sure of the exact price but let's assume that it's worth 100g.
Let's also assume for the sake of ArenaNet's Q4 Profits Guild Wars has at least 5000+ players that are actively participating in these Krytan War events / bounties.
Assuming each of those 5000+ people takes a royal gift and they all end up getting a scroll worth 100g that would total 500 000 gold being added into the market out of no where, nothing was bought or sold so this is adding free gold into a market where gold is useless.
Now let's assume that half of those people got a lockpick which I'm sure everyone here can agree will easily sell for 1000 - 1250 gold.
2500 x 1000 = 2 500 000
2500 x 1250 = 3 125 000
So we total 2.5 million ~ 3.125 Million gold if half of those people found a Lockpick, this is gold being added again to a market where gold is useless increasing it's worthlessness. Now if you go into more detail there's probably upwards of 1 Billion "FREE" Gold going into the market per week. This is including the Zaishen Quests, War in Kryta Quests, The Traveler and the Pre-Searing Traveler.
Adding gold into an economy is never a good choice because gold becomes useless and then people like me are forced to trade with Ectos which become less valuable as more become available.
Anyway, on average I make with 5 accounts doing these daily / weekly quests anywhere from 125k to 250k the actual average amount if around 173k gold for free weekly. Now assume I did this with more accounts (which I could, remember the Xunlai House?, yeah I did that with 13 accounts) I'd make roughly 250k to 500k in profits.
This is getting a tad long, anyone can make gold easily, these quests aren't designed to influence the economy if anything they're destroying it. It's ArenaNet giving us something to do while we wait for Guild Wars 2.
PS: I make roughly 750k monthly for free, gold in this game is unbelievably easy to get, ArenaNet cracks down on Gold Sellers but has yet to look at how they operate the game a simple $5.99 purchase from the bargain bin gets me more gold then if I bought it from a Gold Seller.

In HM, this quest gives 750g, as well 15 war supplies, exactly enough for 1 royal gift. Let's say the quest takes a decent player 10 minutes in HM. I'm sure better players can do it more quickly.
So, for 10 minutes work, exactly how much reward are you expecting? The adventurer's insight scroll is worth 100g at the merch, so the reward you're complaining about is 850g. It can, of course be worth much more, depending on what drops from the gift. That seems fine to me.
How much are you expecting?

My thoughts exactly - the Mini race for a trade win is a no win situtation. You are lucky to get one and the value of them are dropping daily. You missed the ecto boat a couple weeks ago.

XD but yeah seriousley a scroll isn't even like half the value of the actual gift at least give us like 5 or something then maybe we wouldn't be all Staff edit: image deleted
maybe if they made confessor's orders drop moar but isn't it kinda useless going for royal gifts? (i keep forgetting the stockpile strategy and go straight for MoH)

Locking before someone can post the "I like where this thread is going" pic.
As majoho noted, we already have a thread about the contents of Royal Gifts.
