I played GW when it first came out, then set it aside. Having a bit of a budget crunch so I decided to give it a spin again, but found that you need to know a character name on the account to login now.
It's been like 4 years and I can't remember a name so I contacted support yesterday. After sending me an email requesting information I gave them everything except my key, because I seriously couldn't find it as I've moved since I created the account. No big deal, I dug through some packed boxes earlier and found it. Gave them the code as well. Problem is I have not heard back yet and am anxious to play.
What is the typical response time you have faced when it comes to account issues?
Support response times?

It varies. The one time I contacted support I got a response (a real one) in a few hours. However, don't expect this. The support staff are few in number (that's what I've heard, anyway), and they're dealing with a ton of emails from people who have issues with the recent mass bannings. It could be several days; don't sit around waiting for it.
Also, if you need a name, try looking through old screenshots, asking people (on guild forums, real life friends if you have any that play, anyone that might have your name on their friends list), etc. There are some clever ways of finding your IGN without support.

I guess I'll just sit back and be patient.

They only have about 3 GM's that work on account issues(which this is)and they work from 12pm-5pm Monday through Thursday, iv heard of these issues being settled in as little as 24 hrs, but in some cases in can take a week.
