Hi! I would like to play Guild Wars but I don't know where to download and how to pay for this game. Is this game P2P or F2P?
If someone can give me any information or links please reply to this thread.
Thank you very much!

Welcome to GW and the Guru!
GW is FTP after you make the initial purchase (no subscriptions!). You can purchase it and download it from www.guildwars.com. (I'd suggest going with the Trilogy, that way you'll get the 3 main chapters at a bit of a discount from buying them seperately.
You can also find it at Game Spot, Best Buy and the other usual brick and mortar stores.

You have many, many options my friend. You could buy the game at a retail store, or simply online. Online, aside from the main source there is also a secondary reputable source (Steam) to buy the game digitally and download. The client CAN be officially downloaded from the url: www.guildwars.com/download this will give you a head start on the downloading process. There is one more thing for the download that you will need to do to make the client run smoothly, that is the image command to download everything. But first you need to decide if you are getting the game first. Then you can ask us for more help on the downloading of the game.

Yes, remember to ask about the "image command" once you have downloaded. This game operates very smoothly once it is fully downloaded. The client is not the full download by itself. The image command will do all that and prevent long waits as lots of files download themselves every time you change an area.
And welcome to GW.
And welcome to GW.

The guildwars.com website also has a trial available, good for 10 hours of play. If you purchase the game after the trial, you just add your access key at the login page to retain your trial character(s).

Just DO NOT buy it from places like Ebay.. There is no guarantee the activation code you get will be any good.. I have a friend that tried that and got burned.
You will first need to make an master account with plaync.com (Guild Wars' retailer), and from there you can purchase and add all the activation code(s) to your account.
Kook is right tho.. you are best to buy the Trilogy, it will give you all the main storylines and the only thing you would be missing is Eye of the North which is an expansion and you wouldnt be able to play right off anyways.
If you want to play the trial first you can download it here:
trial: http://www.guildwars.com/freetrial/
This will give you 14 days or 10 hours of gameplay (whichever expires first).
To download the actual client, you can download it here, but you wont be able to actually use it until you have bought atleast 1 campaign.
client: http://www.guildwars.com/support/downloadclient/
- on a side note i have seen it at Best Buy, Futureshop, and Staples. Most anywhere that sells physical game CDs will most likely have at least one campaign available.
Good luck.

If you can, try to find the game in a store, you might be able to get sweet deals (saw eye of the north for 15$ at best buy yesterday)
I suggest the trial before buying too. The experience will be a bit limited, but it will give you a good grasp of the game mechanics. If you like the mechanics, then by all means buy the game. At it's current price even if you get something like 100 hours of play and get tired of it (at over 4000 hours and still not tired of playing ) it's still a bargain.
As for the -image command line, read this wiki article.

Even if you go for the trial, if you have enough bandwith, i suggest to do the -image, that way, the maps will load almost instantly.

Graphics are too good for this game to be P2P lol. Don't know where you're from but HMV & GAME shops near me still have GW's. Or you could dload via Steam etc.
