Guild With No [NAM???]

Hello,

I plugged in my Netgear Wireless-N Router the other day as my old one has begun to fail and about 5 minutes after my Guild Wars began to experience an error 007 disconnect about every 5-10 minutes. However, Ventrilo will never disconnect, and my ping in game is never laggy right before the disconnect.

Are there any known troubles with this type of Router (Netgear Wireless N-Router, WNR834B), and are there any possible solutions that can resolve my problem?

Thanks in advance.

It has a built-in firewall. If you already have one then try disable the one in Netgear. Worked for me when I had connection issues before.

I used to have this problem with a router and went without one until I learned what was causing it. You most likely need to open some ports on your router. You will also have to set up a static IP address for your computer.

Check out this link for more information for your specific router and what ports to open for GW. There are very easy to follow instructions to walk you through it.

Hope that helps.

It seems that port forwarding was indeed the issue. Thanks a lot for the help
