Okay years ago I bought Guild Wars: Game of the Year edition on a different computer and used the disk with the access key card and made an account to an email which no longer exists although i wrote it down as well as the username and password. I now have it reinstalled on a new computer with the same disc and I have the key card information... however it says at the bottom of the front page (not the in side with the code) it can only be applied to one account and is non-transferable. I dont know if the policy or ncsoft's grace changed but...

1. Can I still use the key code with another new account??? (PLEASE HELP ME!!!)

2. Also, I got my hopes up, saying, even if I can't make a new account, I suppose I could endure using my old one with the username and password, and delete old profiles for new ones if I so chose. However, the email used is deactivated or no longer in use, my internet provider changed and i got a new email and the previous email was only activated until i switched carriers.

3. I'm sorry I know this is a mouthful and sudden but I needed to know if I could still play the game or if I just finished installing the game for nothing, I don't want to get my hopes up for nothing and then go into the game and find out it wont work.

Also, is there anyway i could change the account name as well??? Thanks again.

Thanks you all so much for any help or advice given and I appreciate it very much.

1) No. Account key codes are one use only.

2) If you have an existing account, use it. Don't know how the email thing will work out.

3) If you can get access to your account (I think you should be able to) then you'll be able to play. You've got the details so try logging in. You need to enter a name of one of the characters on the account though, as an additional security measure. If you don't know you'll have to contact support, look through old screenshots, ask people you can contact that you played with, etc.

EDIT: New question) I'm not sure. I haven't heard of it being done but I haven't heard of it not being done.

Once you log into the account you will see an Edit Account button at the bottom of the screen. Click on that and you can change profile information on your account, such as your contact email. As long as the account has the contact email current, you don't need to worry about the "account name" being invalid. In fact, we (on guru) recommend that people use a one-time email address as their account name to help prevent hacking.

Edit: oops, OP beat me to it. Have fun in the game.

It doesn't matter that the e-mail is no longer in use, it only serves as a user name, it doesn't need to be active for you to play the game. Now you need the name of a character to login. If you can't find the name of one of your old character, you just have to contact support and explain your problem. Give them the necessary info and they will send you the name of one of your characters.

I don't see why you would want to create a new account, the fact that the login e-mail is no longer in use makes it harder to hack since hackers can't guess your login based on your new e-mail.

Seeing as the account is a few years old you will have quite a few ( depending on how many chars you made back then) Miniture presents to open
So don't forget to check before deleting your chars.

Access keys can only be used once so you will have to log into your old account and start from there. I don't think your ISP, the validity of the email address are important in terms of being able to log in. Just try to remember one of your characters' names.
