Trying to stay out of Ryuk's Death Note

N/R

Thank you Mods!!!

Let me start out be saying that I guilted the living crap out of my wife since I was diagnosed with late stage cancer 2 months ago removed all of the first tumor, but have a new tumor currently (getting chemo). Doing well. This guilt trip I put on my wife was Evil of me I know. She has busted my balls already!

Not to justify the above but my current system cannot even run Batman Arkum. Ugh!

Since I do have approval from my wonderful wife to purchase a new system Here is what I am looking at:

Price range between the $2400 to $2699. I am trying not to exceed 2699 with shipping. Keeping current monitor, keyboard, mouse and cheesy guild wars headphones from collector edition, until I move to the basement and can hook up my 7.1 speakers(will get a sound card then). My whole house is hard wired for lan, so not looking at wireless.

I have built my own sysytems in the past (which still work amazingly) but have gotten lazy in my old age and sickness and only buy premade systems at this point.

All these systems are pretty much the same with a few differences. Do I go with the new upstart company ballisticgamingpc?

Velocity and Digital seem to be both reputable companies that have gotten good reviews.

Falcon Northwest has been the cream of the crop with the Mach 5 system but looking at the mid range Talon.

Or perhaps I am on the wrong track with the items I have selected?!? Feel free to recommend something in the price range. Perhaps no dual video but better processor?

Go with Digital Storm, they have excellent reviews from many tech sites.

Tweak this system:

http://www.digitalstormonline.com/co....asp?id=417297

^ That system will outlast the one you have configured, as the dual GTX470 combination is more future proof for DX11. If you are going to spend that much on a PC, make sure it lasts a good 5 years. Not to mention, the 400 series GTX cards scale far better in dual/triple configuration compared to ATi's Crossfire (and that is excluding other lovely driver issues that come with the 5k series in Crossfire like micro stuttering)

In addition, the Noctua cooler I selected is far superior that liquid cooling solution you had in your original configuration. Also, the Western Digital Black drive is 1.5TB (plenty of room) and the 64MB cache version, which is one of best HDDs you can buy at this point without going SSD (which you can always add yourself later when they drop in price, since you will save SATA 6.0Gbps)

Ooooh, I love money-no-object specs

Basically, what the Lord said - a system that high is going to NEED an SSD somewhere along the line.

@Lord, that Noctua is a absolute beast!!! Very Impressive. I like what I am seeing! Much reading to do. Thanks for the input!

@brownies, that is why I posted I know I can build it myself, but I just do not enjoy it anymore. Plus I get a free tee shirt

@snograt, hehe I was playing around with Falcon Northwest and configured a
14K system. I wish!!! I can't get that much guilt from my wife!!!
