Doing so, i have started becoming bored of the same old Livia, Olias, Master of Whispers. I am trying to come up with a new set up but so far have 2 RoJ monks and 1 Jagged Bomber. I am enjoying this however I want a faster yet safe build for both nm/hm and basic pve.

It depens on the enemy u are fighting against. So there no true builds which are good. Imo discord is one of the easiest and best builds for heroes, with my paragon I go for 2 other paragon heroes and dervish hero. works really good because im a paragon. but dont know what ur profession is... soo?

Easy: Yes. Best: No. Discord wins on autopilot and that is why people like it. Bad players worship is because they are bad. If you analyse it (post 11) the inefficiencies are outstanding. @OP For my Warrior: ER Heal/Prot Ele, SoS Rit, MB. You can find the basic ones on PvX. I've modified mine to fit in smites, curses, or whatever else I need at the time.

agree with you for some parts :P, but still discord remains of the best builds (For non-melee characters, and mostly for beginners (: ) IDK beluga if ur an experienced player or not... ER prot isnt good imo, tried it allot but really dislike it. Each proffesion is better with other heroes, if ur a melee character, its really handy to have a necro with some boosts for ur attacks. So imo there is no best build, u got to try things out and see what fits u best (: i think thats the only way to keep the game fun, make ur own builds, experiment.... DeVerseBakker
I usually take some sort of half decent heal bar on myself,
with: ER Prot SoS Rit Panic Mesmer and henchies P_A_A
I've been lately using this, to change a little.

Discord builds produce ~35DPS from each hero slot. I'm not an expert on hero setups for casters, but 35DPS is pathetic. You can do much better than that. Spiritway (modding it appropriately for caster use) will easily outperform Discord.

ER prot isnt good imo, tried it allot but really dislike it.
ER Prot is the strongest healer and protter currently available. Fact. If it isn't working something is wrong (your positioning is wrong, you trialed it in a heavy enchant removal zone, ran a bad variant, etc).

Agree. But I've been having much more success just running hench healers, myself. I did SoO HM with this yesterday-- despite being blind nearly 100% of the time it was still pretty much a walk in the park. If I did it again I would've brought Sight Beyond Sight instead of scan.
