Should I be worried?

I was playing RA today and got reported for leeching. We were obviously going to lose so i resigned and died. One guy on our team started running though (after the rest of the team had died) and rezzed me. I then just stood still and let them kill me. The guy then reported me for leeching. Should I be worried about this?? Will I get banned?

I doubt it seeing as how the the rest your team was dead.

Really doubt it is worth a ban, if anything some strikes or suspension, but not a ban. Maybe if you kept it up.

Getting reported for leeching really doesn't do anything except dishonorable but that requires multiple reportings within an hour so there is no need to worry. Hundreds of people probably get reported for leeching every day.

If that person was the only one that reported you, then you don't need to worry. At least half of the team has to report a player. If anything, that person was given 2 dishonor points for issuing an unsupported report because a third or less of the team reported.

No you will not get banned, the worst you will get is a 10 minute, or 60 minute suspension from PvP, nothing more.

Getting reported/declared as a "leecher" does literally nothing to your account that would lead to a suspension. They can report you all day if they want, the most that would happen to you is you get a hex called "dishonorable" that prevents you from entering PvP-related matches for x/xx amount of minutes.

By the way, when using the words "ban" make sure you keep in mind that "ban" means permanantly closed. the word you should be using is "suspension". So many people use the word "ban" instead of "suspended" without even realizing what "ban" exactly means.

Course you won't get banned. Look at the JQ bots and leechers, for instance. They are there for over a year or two and no ban, just getting dishonarable after a match or two.

Makes you really depressed about the whole concept of pvp in gw

I mean people will always jump out of a game they cannot win and it should simply be a win for the other team.

If there is a way to abuse this to get cheap wins then either they should make that game foolproof so its very unlikely to happen or abandon that type of pvp game.

You simply cannot assume every player is fair and honourable and you also cannot make a point of accusing the innocent then saying its no big deal these things happen.

Loads of things happen during online games the phone rings callers ring your doorbell or the connection fails.
Its called real life interruptions and this isn't real life it is a game.

being reported for leeching will only give you dishonorable points. you won't get banned for it. since he was the only one that did, he also got dishonorable points for making an unsupported report.
