ok so i've played guild wars perfectly fine on this computer for ages and now all of a sudden it won't load.
i can hear the music when i load guild wars but it's like in a never ending alt tab i can't get into the game.
when i alt f4 and try again sometimes it says repairing info or something like that, but even after it's done repairing i'll start it up again and it will open like 3 guild wars clients and tell me i don't have the latest direct x which is total bull.
i'd also like to add that i was actually able to play fine earlier around 4-5 hours ago.
guild wars suddenly won't play anymore.. WTF?

Sounds like you need to use the "-image" command. If that fails reinstall Guild Wars. I bet the DAT file is toasted.

yeah sounds like a corrupted gw.dat file - here's what "-image" means:

My GW has suddenly stopped loading from the main exe icon whenever an update occurs. It won't connect to the server and update my GW dat file.
I've corrected this problem by downloading the client exe file from the offiicial website here - http://eu.guildwars.com/support/cate...oad_client/%29
I run the game from there whenever an update happens, and it installs the update and opens the game fine. Then I can use the orignal exe launcher from my desktop without any problems. This is only a recent problem and I've changed absolutely nothing.
So, perhaps try running the game from that client instead and see if that works.
Good luck.

Did you try to restart your computer
Having worked in tech support for many years I can say it solves around 20% of all problems (not kidding).
