where am i?

me and my sister and her boyfriend just picked this game up. i was in a party with them in the place u usually spawn and i was running around the city accepting quests and all the sudden i was in a different place called old aschelon with a bunch of bots in my party. how do i get back with my friends>?

Go back into the city leave the party then add them to your party while in the city.

You will be outside Ascalon 2 years later (in game history). The searing has happened, everything has been burned down by the charr. All you need to do is going into Ascalon, there you can team together again, there are room for 4 ppl in teams there. Pick up new quests etc, and enjoy the storyline and the game together
Once you entered the quest with the bots there is no way back unless you start a new character. Move forward instead, there is a whole world ahead of you

99.9% of prophecies is after the searing. And, well, 100% of the other games are too.

You went forward in time 2 years and the other two are still back in the beginner area. If you want to play with them you will need to create a new character and start over. It is impossible to go backwards from where you are in the game.

Yep, you went to the Acadamy and wound up in the future. Be sure to pay attention to the text when taking quests, it'll save you some headaches.

The only way to get back to your friends is to start a new charecter.

Start reading quest texts.

will save u alot of trouble later on in the game.

Pretty sure there is a warning as well when you start that quest.

Come on, everyone on the internet has to develop the ability to automatically ignore big, bright colored text. Especially if it's flashing. Otherwise, you'd actually have to read the spam and ad banners
