Is there a more effective way of reporting bots...

Bots in JQ that is. For anyone that plays any JQ, they'll know lately the luxon side has been getting brutally murdered -- why? Because half of the team consists of non-human Necromancers with generic builds.

I've seen these bots recently and labeled them as our losing problem, and accordingly reported them all (that I can find) every round and asked others to do the same. With ANets big "stand against bots" with 3,700 accounts banned for botting, you'd think these accounts would go pretty quickly assuming they then closely inspect the character's activities after had being reported. Even if it's not immidiate, whatever, but I've seen this particular bot in there for over a week now, so he's been reported by me probably over 10 times. Where's ANet's stand now?

I recently played a match, and we lost. 10 - 0. We had two leavers, two leechers (wish there was a stronger penalty towards it, since no one else seems to report) and two bots. That leaves two human players. It was abhorrent, and I'm pretty much fed up with JQ at the moment. I would like to do something about the bots that would get ANet's attention, but I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions?

Play on the side that has less bots, murder the other team's bots, have fun, gg.

Tell me about it. Ever since the mass bannings there have been fewer people playing JQ, but the quality is absurd. You see lots of bots and general noobs on the Luxon side. On average, I loose about every 4 out of 5 games on the Luxon side.

I just don't understand the plague on the Luxon side now. Why do people bring Assassins and Warriors into the JQ? Why do they jump into random portals and think the objective is to kill the enemy team?

Most of these people are virgins to competitive PvP and are one timers that simply make some crummy PvP-only W/Mo with the ugly PvP-only armor and then they follow zerg like movements of other players.

For example N/A bombers are known to take the Purp because it is the Kurzicks closest point, like the Green is the Luxons one. So when these PvP virgins see someone go Purp, they all jump on the Purp portal and you end up having 1 guy go Green and 1 guy go Yellow.

These people have NO clue how to play JQ at all. I doubt they know which color their own shrine looks like.

Maybe I can provide some insight: they may not be there for the PvP objective. I've had my warrior in JQ a few times, for reasons of mapping, maxing out the cap and so on.

Also, some people don't have any other characters. Not everyone has the time to develop several characters.

Sad, but this is indeed what I've had to do, halfdue to bots and leechers, but also half due to the luxon teams being generally worse that the kurzics, I don't know why, but there we go.

I wish there was a better system for bots and leechers tho.

1. Remove the player name from your post; not allowed on guru.

2. It is not that ArenaNet is ignoring your reports. It is just the shear number of reports they get daily that makes the whole process so slow. If you used the in-game Report function, then try sending the information to [email protected] with JQ BOTTING as the subject line.

OMG ive now seen class discrimination used for jq and im shocked.
Wheres it stated you can only use a certain chr for jq or fa ?
new players take in their chrs and will only learn what works and what doesnt - im sure with all the bots you say are present it wont even matter what you go as - as you said you always lose.
AB people can see whos using what but in a "normal" fa/jq its a mishmash of chrs and builds so both sides have to make do with what they have.I doubt you would complain if all the kurz side was using noobish war builds and you pwned them every match but if you get any warriors and lose .... its a diff matter.
I always say - if you want good players on your side ( lux/kurz) then instead of kicking "noob" players in the groin and laughing maybe help them become better players therefore improving your sides fighting ability.
On a side note - i wonder if theres ever been any matches with just bots in - no humans ? That id love to watch ... even maybe make a bot arena :P

There are some bots that have been in lux jq for YEARS, anet really doesnt care. It is totally obvious that they are bits but it is really hard to prove.

it is horrid for those of us that like jq and want our lux title. Really the best option is to report them as leechers not bots - then at least they are taken out of the game for a little while.

When I don't need kurzick faction and I don't feel like waiting over ten minutes per round, that doesn't help much. And regardless, the bots are still there. I report them even when they're on the enemy team if I see them.

Kurz often times wins FA, and AB is a terrible way to get faction regardless of who wins. It'd be nice to have a balanced and even match to play in for faction, rather than losing because your team is handicapped.
