Was just responding to a post to the guy with the HDTV problem when something struck me:
That's a Dell S2409W through a GTX260 revB. Why no 1080p available?
If I go to "Add Resolutions..." I get these greyed-out options which are only available when the "Enable resolutions not exposed by the display" (er, sic?) box is checked:
As you can see, it happily allowed me to set up (and test) a 1920*1080 60Hz prog resolution, so what gives?
Is it something really stupid like "you're not using an HDMI connection, lol"?

if you have the correct drivers it should work fine @ 1080p by default...

There's always the possibility that the display is not reporting 1080p as a rez when the system does it's Plug'n'Play thing.
EDIT - after a quick Google, there seems to be a bit of discussion about this on this monitor. Some reviews even state that the monitor is 1080i. If the 1080p works, then as I said, perhaps it reports itself as only 1080i to the PnP or reports the 1080i as a "preferred" rez.

DVI doesn't support HDMI frequencies under normal circumstances. That is why those options do not appear.

Ah yes, you need Dual-link DVI if I recall.
