How can I get my pet back?

Wanted to charm another pet, so I brought the one I had (Black Moa) to the Zaishen Menagerie.
I spoke to everyone there but that doesn't bring my Moa back. The wiki is not clear about accessing pets, not to me that is. And yes, I've Comfort Animal equipped.
Can anyone tell me what exactly I have to do to get him back?

Go to Wynn the training captain in the Menagerie and request to see a specific evolution. Select the pet/evolution you want (of pets you have previously released) and voila. Btw don't forget to bring charm animal along so you can re-charm it.

I just did this.

Unfortunately, when I charmed my Black Moa from the Menagerie it was only lvl. 5. I had to go to the trainer and ask to see a certain evolution of them. These are a lvl. 15. I had to train mine up to 20 after that. Sadly, you drop them off as a 20 but they are not 20 when you pick them back up.

I just re-tested to make sure and had no problem selecting a lvl 20 elder white tiger and charming it and receiving a lvl 20 elder white tiger. Don't know what problems you are having rogue. However, I should note that mine was a fully evolved lvl 20 at the time.

That's because black moas automatically have elder evolution. Which, when given to the tamer in the menagerie, unlocks every evolution up to lvl 15 and a level 20 elder. Take a lvl 15 dire black moa and level it to 20, then when you turn it in, you'll have level 20 of all evolutions.

Not sure. It only did that with the Black Moa. I have dropped off other animals and never had an issue.

No big deal, though. I just took him out and had him back up to 20 in a little bit.

Had no idea about recharming, but it worked and I have my moa back, level 20.
