ok so when i created my character i choose warrior as my class. Then i go and do the warrior trainer quest with warmaster grast. But when i go to monks and Necromancers and others, they say, "Become a Monk" Does that mean monk will be my secondary or what?

Also, can anyone tell me some good armor for a level 5 warrior? and weapon (sword preferrably)

no, until you've completed the quest "A Second Profession", you wont have a second profession.

When you hit level 5, that is when you can pick your secondary class. To my knowledge, you can only buy so far at that level either Istani or Sunspear armor at the vendor. I'm sure you can buy the other I think two types of armor offered, but you will have to go to another part of the world (i.e not Istan).

He is in Pre Ascalon, not Nightfall. Notice he mentioned Warmaster Grast.

You can do all the secondary profession quests if you want, just when they ask if you want to become their profession, say no till you are ready to choose what you want to be. Then when you are ready for your secondary, talk to the trainer for the secondary that you want, and select yes you wish to become <profession>.

As for armor, the only armor in Pre Ascalon for you at the moment, is the collector armor you get from the various collectors around the area. After you leave Pre Ascalon, you can get different kinds of armor at different locations.

And, trying each of the professions gives you free skills for later in the game, plus the experience points from doing the quests.

Note - other than looks and armor level, all the armor is the same. You don't need to worry about getting armor with any specific mod/bonus/etc.

hmm yes and no.
When you buy armor there will be sets each with feet, legs, chest, arms and then a number of hats. Each hat is different, you want for sword so get the hat which says sword mastery +1 (stacking) you can tell by rolling you mouse over the item in the buy list at the [armor] guy. That +1 will provide you with a +1 to your swordmastery attribute while this is worn improving the dmg you do with your sword and your sword skills.

Weapons you get, more so later one will have a req number of say swordmastery req 9, this means that you need to have at lvl 9 in that attribute for the weapon to work at 100% any less and the weapon will not be as good, but on the flip side if your attribute goes over the requirement the weapon will become even better.

Now each armor piece can be modified with a Rune and an Insignia which you can buy from the [Rune trader] or find on random monster drops. If you go to the rune trader you'll notice you can buy then another sword mastery + 1 but this time it will be non stacking. These means even if you put more than one of this rune on you will only get the effect once.

So if you buy a sword rune and place it on your hat by dbl clicking the rune then clicking on the hat the hand will then read
Swordmastery +1 (Stacking)
Swordmastery +1 (Non-Stacking)
And it will now reward +2 to your sword attribute improving it more.

There are 3 types of sword rune, Minor (blue)which gives +1non-stacking Major (Purple) which gives +2 non-stacking and Superior (gold) which gives +3 non-stacking. While the major and superior give more attibutes they take away your health which, while your skills will be more effective you'll be easier to kill, so to start with it'll probably be best to stick to minor.

Also if you put 2 majors or 2 superiors on you loose health for both rune but only get the +attributes for one so be careful. And finally if you have 2 runes of different lvls IE a minor and a Major you will only get the bonus of the higher rune.

Hope that helped i kinda went off on one sorry about the typo's xD
