Rubies or Keys?

Hi

I noticed that unlike, Inscribed Secrets or Kournan Coins, Trade contacts can be traded for rubies et al.

I normally use my quest reward trophies for keys, seems like the most profitable option and you might just get a really nice gold item. But should I rather collect more than double for a ruby? Do players generally still buy them for like 4k a piece? (I am not interested in Vabbi Armor myself)

Thanks!

Actually, I never bought rubies and sapphires from players, but as traders sell them for around 5,5k I guess yes, they're the best option for contracts.

Keys are never the most profitable option for collectable trophy drops - Superior Salvage Kits are. With SS kits, your trophies work out as being worth 200g each, with keys (600g) it drops to 100g per trophy.

Rubies are trickier as they don't have a fixed price. At the time of posting, rare mats traders were buying at 3600g per ruby, divided by 7 gives you ~514g per trade contract.

So yes - trade them for rubies for highest profit, even more if you can spend the time selling to people rather than the rm trader.

Thanks a lot!

I am pleased to hear you can sell them to Rare Material Traders for 3.6k, since the price indicated is only 250g and I was not sure if the selling price to the trader was affected in the same way the buying price is

I'll go for rubies etc!
