Hey guys, i dont know where exactly this belongs but here i am. I have been getting bout 30-50 e-mails from "[email protected] blah blah.com" I did a little searching using the whole reverse IP thing and found nearly all these originate from schools in the eastern US. Does anyone know how to block this shtuff? A little spammage is no big deal, it comes with the territory. But, im being innundated.
I get spurts of 15-20 of them in literally 30 seconds. Alot come from the school district in Altoona pennsylvania. Others come out of New York, or Jersey.
Any help would be just super.
Exhaustedly yours, Cronk
PS if this is in the wrong section please move or re-direct. thanks .

I get these on the order of HUNDREDS a day--I have set up a spam filter with my dsl provider so now I dont get that many (I put in addys to not allow etc)...
now if you are getting them on a different email--I cant help with that other than seeing if there is some way to set a junk or spam filter.

A few things you can do
look at friends listed on your email/msn if you dont know them ..delete
create a new and strong password ..when you do this it will tell you the strength of your password ensure its good enough.
when you do this you have options to create a sort of personal file ie first car ect
if its only you using the pc then copy the password down pin to pc till you can remember it.
do a virus scan afterwards this will help and you can set your email to create a new password on your email after 60/70 days
