So I hit level 20 and I have all of the skills for the 130 derv build... but I am completely broke. I finished the nightfall campaign and would like to do a little farming to get my money back up. I don't have 130 hp more like 310.. and I am using the energy scythe from the end of the nightfall campaign.

Could anyone give me some decent places that I could farm? I am a complete newbie for the most part and this is my first lvl 20.

Thank you very much..

tbh, 130 dervish is not very good when it comes to profit. If you want to make money as a dervish it would be much more efficient to run people. Droks, sanctum cay, toa, etc

I really wish that I knew what that meant lol.

what class would you guys suggest as being a pretty newbie friendly one for farming then? Running does not appeal to me at all

If you have factions you can make a ritualist which can solo farm with spirits its very simple just put you'r spirits up and watch them do the work imo the easiest farm around now it can be used almost anywhere.

If you don't have factions and you'r still completely new you could press the Hard Mode button and go to plains of jarin there are alot of single monsters there which you should be able to solo with you'r derv with some skills like avatar of balthazar / mystic regen just make something it will probally work just pickup all the drops and merchant them.

Do you have factions because a very profitable thing to do is feather farm , i do this and can make 100k in a day , my build is

OgOj4YrM7OuX276N7qdNv8X5BA

maintain balthazars spirit for energy and use avatar to run between groups and for defense , then run enchants in order and blow them sensali up

do this outside seitung harbor in jaya blufs and feathers sell around 9k per 250 have fun

oh and avoid yetis or run them into groups of the sensali and they will kill eachother

I'm pretty sure you can't farm feathers with a Dervish in HM. The degen from hexes is too much to overcome and heal through. However, since you're farming for materials there, it doesn't matter if it's HM or not; NM is faster and hence more profitable.

One question: how long do you play each day, and do i need to take hench or hero's for more drops ( flag them at the beginning portal)

I don't do "hardcore" feather farming by any means but, I have given it a try.
What I started with:

And then started using:

And then I got bored and started using:

That's the build I used to farm feathers on my Dervish. I haven't done so in a long while, though, and the change to Sliver Armor probably makes it less effective than it used to be. Maybe not, though, since most of the damage came from scythe attacks and SA was just used to mop up/make killing a bit faster. Usually I just use my Rit for feather farming, though.

I think I'll have to give that build that Dreamweaver posted a try, it looks like fun.

And hahahi - these builds are for solo farming.

Yes, but don't you gain more drops if there are leechers?

It's a commonly held belief; but I've never seen any hard evidence to support it.
