Ascalon Damage reduction same as knights?

I have always assumed that the ascalon armor has the same global damage reduction that the knights armor does. Is this true? Has anyone done some testing on this?

Cool, thank you. I was wondering because I noticed that the asc helm has dmg reduction, while the knights helm does not, so I thought they might be different.

The Knight's Helm in PvE is funny like that.
