Sure did.

But I only recently noticed you are able to re-organize your skills on the bar when in an explorable.

What's wrong with that? To do so you need to open the skills menu, which has no use in explorable areas. I only learned about it at the start of the year.

I meant it in a 'I can't believe I'm only just finding out about this after 5yrs+ playing' kind of way :|

I think I actually did the name thing by accident sometime ago. Been using it ever since then. Glad I did learn it back then.

Turning into a useful tip thread?

1) Flag heroes into a portal and they teleport to your location, useful for running to a boss/bounty, and then teleport heroes to you.

2) Easy experience for low levels, go to d'alessio seaboard Russian or Polish district and wait by the gate and get exp in town from the fresh ghouls that are killed, then rezone to another empty district and repeat.

3) Probably for the newer people, press up arrow in chat to repeat your last message.

Never knew that. However, i whisper very rarely to people who are not my guildies nor in my friend list.

I discovered it a few months ago, too, by accident.

However, i knew people who discovered after maybe 4 years of play that you can turn around your character in the inventory image by right-clicking it. This isn't strange at all, since you don't need to do any of these things to play, so you can only discover them by accident, or because you are told by someone.

I knew it worked for the little 'report' feature by just targeting them and type /report (very useful reporting chars with messed up random characters) ... but for whispers? Awesome!

Another tip:
How to find someone in a crowded district to perform a trading session.

It is assumed that you have a chatlog entry of that person, for example because you whispered each other and negotiated the trade.
  • Empty your party, so you are alone.
  • Click on the name of the person in the chatlog. The name is now selected.
  • Press ctrl-c to copy the name to the clipboard.
  • Click on the input field of the party formation window and press ctrl-v to paste the name into the input field.
  • Press the + button to invite the person to your party.
  • Click on pending half-added name of the other player in the party list. The player is now your target and you can click on the "Trade" button to begin running to that player.
  • If that player accepts the party invitation (which he shouldn't), you stop running, so you should select the player in the party list again and click on the "Trade" button again.

(won't work if the other player is already in a full party or if he is too far away to be targeted. If he is too far away, simply run around until he is targetable)

Because they are mostly empty, and to get the exp from this you need to be alone in a district.

Here is some more information that some of you probably already know:

1. Pressing Ctrl+Shft+H gets rid of all the interface on your screen so makes for better screenshots.

2. If someone whispers you press the backspace key to automatically have there name in the whisper section of chat.

3. Once you beat EOTN you can easily repeat Destruction Depths by starting at the Central Transfer Chamber and going through the portal you came from instead of starting from Olafstead and running to the battledepths.

4. If an ally targets an enemy press T to instantly target that enemy. Im sure a lot of you know this but I found this out about a year ago and it blew my mind.

Hope these helped

I knew all of these, but I think that's due to being a PvP'er back in the day. I'm kind of shocked that you guys haven't heard jokes about cspacing your way to victory, etc.

Windows Sticky Keys (in Control Panel -> Accessibility Options) + activating sticky left-<ctrl> and left-<alt> = super-smooth H/H-ing! (see names of all foes/allies/items and automatically call your targets for H/H to follow)

Easier method: Hit Shift+Print Screen.

H/H do not take any notice of your called target.

Oh yes they do! Just try H/H'ing the same group twice, once with and once without target calling. You can see most of them switch targets right along with you if you look at their weapon trajectories, and they start casting most of their skills on the new priority target. Or are you saying that it's not working with sticky keys for you, in which case are you sure you've engaged sticky mode?

Heroes and pets require you to specifically target with their interface, otherwise, and hench use their own AI to prioritise targets. None take the slightest notice of your called target.

No, when I'm out H/Hing they target of their own accord *except* when I call my targets. I distinctly note an upswing in damage on my target as soon as I call it.
