Hello all, being playing my Dervish for a while and thinking about going through and doing a HM Masters Dungeon Guide / HM Hero's Handbook on my Dervish. And since finding people that want to play with a dervish is a futile effort, I was wondering how much and EotN is H/H-able.
I've been running:
OgGjUxpM7QfaXgQXiayguFxgvlA
[Soldier's Strike][Zealous Sweep][Victorious Sweep][Soldier's Stance][Aura of Holy Might][Fear Me!][Save Yourselves!][Asuran Scan]
With a zealous scythe of enchanting, 12 in Tactics, and 12 + 1 + 1 in Scythe Mastery.
I can run any hero build out there, but I've been mostly running Sabway with some substitutions depending on the area.
Just wondering if any change to my build would make H/H a little easier, or if I should try a little harder to pug. Thanks!
H/H with a Dervish

Hi,
It's hard to find a pug that will take a derv so I understand how you feel. Nowadays, I use my derv mostly for WiK (H/H).
I am running something similar except i don't use AoHM as it convert your damage to Holy damage & that will not trigger Mark of Pain, Barbs & other damage buff that require physical damage.
I use a +30HP scythe mod (no enchant to cast on myself), zealous sweep (for energy), To the Limit to upkeep Soldier's Stance & alternate between Technobubble (for dazing non-boss casters in HM) & By Ural's Hammer.
I use these skills on my heroes bar to buff me:
Strength of Honor, Mark of Pain, Splinter Weapon, ...
Other things that can help:
Weaken armor, Enfleebling Blood, Prot Spirit, .....
Cheers & have fun

first I wanna tell you with a good setup evrything is possible i h/h'ed almost evrything on my derv several HM hero handbooks I actually maxed all the eotn titles with the hero handbooks (except ofcourse master of the north). And i h/h'ed frostmaw/vloxen/slaver's for example which are considered the harder dungeon's and no you do not need to use cons to h/h them just carefull pulling and adapt you'r builds to the situation.
As for you'r build it's pretty standard one im not too fond over the whole soldier stance dervish build but that's just me it's a pretty solid build and aslong as you'r able to keep SY up most of the time you'r gonna be fine.
Imo you shouldn't switch AoHM out because you'r gonna use MoP/OoP/Ootv/barbs or whatever because you'r playing h/h and melee AI is just so bad that you shouldn't bother with it to much my advise is to just take AoHM and grab an SoS hero with Strength of Honor it will increase your damage alot.
As for your hero's depending on the situation you can grab different hero's for example dont take an MM when facing an area with unexploitable corpses (probaly undead so try to take some holy dmg like RoJ to finish them off fairly quick) also Soul Twisting communing ritu's are a solid choice just like SoS the MM will almost never let you down (MM combines terrible with Soul Twisting because you'r spirits will be dead the moment you cast it) you can grab an UA hero Psychic Instability or Panic mesmers are very good at shutting mobs down sabway healers are nice e/mo ether renewal healers you can use just grab the OP stuff and steamroll through the areas! And last but not least we have the famous discordway which works almost evrywhere except places with lotsa hex/condi removal then you'r better off grabbing something else...
Hope this helped a bit

Im not too fond of the Soldiers Stance Derv either. I like to run Zealous Vow, or Wounding Strike with Earth prayers, depending on the dungeon/area. Like, Nijntjuh, I also find a Rt/Mo with SoS, splinter weapon, and strength of honor very effective, mainly because it works with AoHM. I normally use a N/Rt SoLS healer and an MM with Prot as well. Otherwise most of HM eotn, except duncan, are able to be done with H/H. Just make sure you pull and change up your builds accordingly.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I use that same hero set up on my Warrior and Assassin too.
