Mic wont work in vent

Hey all, thanks for reading.

Ok so basically, just bought a new headset. The crative hs-1000, had great reviews, and nobody else is having the same issue as me.

Ive tested the microphone in windows and xfire, and both work with it. However, whenever i try and talk to someone over vent they cant hear me. Im very new to using vent and dont know it to well, so all help is appreciated.

make sure u dont have mic muted on vent and make sure outbound is good enough

Mic isnt muted and just tried putting outbound to max, and still no success.

HAHA turns out im so new to vent i didnt know i had to push the PTT button that i set for people to here me, boy do i feel stupid.
