-Are gold Dwarven Hammers rare?

-Also, is it rare to own a gold weapon with no damage mod (obviously non-inscrip)?

-Thank you.

1. If oldschool/tyrian (meaning with an inherent damage mod): quite rare, yes. If inscriptable (or no inherent at all): not really.

2. Not really.

The fact that your hammer has no inscription slot doesn't necessarily mean that it's old school. There ARE items with no inherent damage mod that dropped before inscriptions were in the game. However, there are also now items that normally drop with inscription slots that sometimes drop without inscription slots. That doesn't mean they're old school. That just means they're especially useless.

Your hammer should be brought to the merchant and you should cross your fingers that he'll be able to take it off your hands. Maybe it will be recycled and become a better item in its next incarnation.

To everything already said here I can only add that no inherent gold weapons are still fairly common drops in the oldschool lands, even though they're much more rare than in the past. They're not possible drops anymore in the inscription lands (except staves).
