realised that i accidently vendored my tormented smiting scepter and have that gutted feeling and my question is whether anyone has gotten deleted/vendored items back when submitting a ticket? I know that hacked accounts dont seem to be restored by GMs so before i submit a ticket i was wondering is its actually worth doing so?

feeling rather gutted now =((

Unfortunately, NCSoft support isn't Blizzard support. They don't do nice things.

Well did this sort of thing before im afraid you have to get over it as you will not get it back

Buy a small euipment pack and put any high end in there and uncheck the pack so it will not show at merchant.

Or uncheck any bag to do the same

Tormented weaps can't be sold to merchants, so you don't have to worry about that, however they can be deleted or accidentally destroyed if you try to salvage a component from them.

EDIT: It is possible that at the beginning they could be sold to merchant, if that was the case, older tormented weaps could still be sold i think.

EDIT2: to OP:, i wouldn't count on getting it back.

I accidentally used an expert salvage kit to remove the string off my Tormented Shortbow, so I can sympathize.
But, I'm afraid that your sceptor (and my bow) are gone for good. You could buy an Armbrace and get another one.

Perhaps, if GW charged a monthly fee like WoW, they could afford (the staff) to be as nice. Your choice.

Was going to say dont worry to much since the price of armbraces are dropping, but i guess you just over looked it in inv. Reminds me of the time when i was in international dis doing some pve and the went to do some pvp. In alliance chat i was like wtf, did everyone stop playing GW? Sometimes its easy to over look crap.

It's not a matter of maybe they could bring it back. They CAN'T. Yes, yes. They cannot "pop" things up in midair..

OP I don't think it's possible to reinstate items in GW as it is in like say WoW because how the game works.

ArenaNet has been explaining for years that they purposely prevented items from being created on the live servers. This was to do away with GM favoritism which was a problem in other MMOs. It makes it impossible for them to restore items except by rolling back the servers for everyone.

Lemming's right.

Archress, they almost certainly could create a new one (they are the ones who made the game, after all - oh, and don't believe that bull about not being able to restore hacked accounts either; if Blizz can, I'm sure they have a way).

But, like Quaker said, it's what you pay for. Blizz can afford to have FABULOUS customer service, because, y'know, they make boatloads of cash off the game sales AND the tie-in merchandise AND, of course, the collective $165 mil monthly fee (give or take a few mil depending on people's payment models). Unless we're willing to pay a fee, we'll just have to deal.

But I play Guild Wars for the design, not for the customer service.

NCSoft in-game customer service might be lacking, but out-of-game my experience with them was fantastic.
