Monetary Rewards

It occurred to myself and members of my guild that elite area quests are a bit of a letdown. The prize for completing them is 10000xp, which is nice for sig recharges, but that's it.
What I would REALLY like to see is an increase in gold rewards for completing some of these.
Particularly in the UW and FoW, which would reward quest completion over just farming.
Also an increase in gold rewards for VQ completions.
I'm essentially recommending that the last obstacle to obtaining EVERYTHING you want in GW be weakened, I understand that.
But I also understand that this is happening due to PvE power creep across multiple professions.
First it was SF sins, then rits, recently mesmers, and coming soon dervishes and paragons. Probably eles and rangers after those I'd guess.

The point is, formerly expensive items (armbraces are down what, 10-15e over the last 2 months?) are becoming cheaper and ANet is obviously going about bringing the economy down gently, eventually making even the most prestigious items common. Therefore creating demand for GW2 and the new challenges awaiting there.

So the question is, if it's going to happen anyhow, shouldn't it happen through elite areas and HM?

10,000 exp, that would give an money reward on around 2,000 g... (500 g in HM for completing an "expert hard quest" would be to little)
that, x10 =20,000 g, >PER RUN<
and UW, witch is harder, would have to have higher money reward.
a low money reward isnt worth it seeing as it is an expert area, but with all the speedclears going on,it just would give people much, much more money.

UW can't have money reward, because everyboody ALLREADY farms there and makes tons of money via ectos and other drops...
so if the UW quests had money reward, just imagine what would happen... :/

The reward for beating all the quests is the endchest. That's why most people do speed clears now, not straight farming; they already are doing all the quests.

although i kinda agree (Duoing FoW with 2 accounts, 1 of which is quite bad) was pretty easy, just time consuming. yet the main reward wasn't that great. but then again the amount of drops in the area compensate many times for the access fee. it just isn't needed due to the farming of the areas.

everything is down in price because of the age of the game. there really aren't high end weapons anymore. the only items that fetch any sort of really great price is crystalline swords and q9 or 10 silverwing bows. there really isn't anything else weapons wise that fetches over 100e anymore. idk what the point of any of this would be.

Jazilla kinda made my point. I understand that speed clears would net a ton of cash, but greater rewards would encourage casual players and would encourage PuGs to try these areas. FoW and UW are STILL, even after multiple nerfs, largely a permasin heavy area.
I play a paragon and since paras aren't needed for speedclears, I can't get a group. The same with rangers and dervs, and eles aren't welcome as nukers.

The fact is that all these professions can still do these areas, and if there was a guarantee that there was something more than a chest with an ecto and an Onyx Gemstone at the end, there would be alot more enthusiasm and people willing to try it.

I don't like that elite areas are being reduced to being ONLY SC's or farming.

Good that you don't like it. Anet will see this and wipe those tears off your face.

seriously, is asking for 2k for Clearing the Labyrinth that much of a stretch?
I'm not talking huge sums, just a little extra to get people an extra push.

I've been saying for a long while that the elite area rewards are not proportionate to the effort/skill/time it takes to complete them NORMALLY. And by that I mean balanced build + average players + no using stuff like SY! and SF, and no consets.
