Male Costume Body-types

All four of the male costumes released so have have been, I can only assume due to insanity, modeled on the large/fat body-type; the one used by Warriors/Monks/Mesmers.
I know a lot of people have a problem with this (not all, so try not to get offended if you happen to like this for whatever reason), and personally it's enough to make me not use them (I actually bought the Shining Blade costume, but can't bring myself to actually use it anymore).

I know there is absolutely no chance ANet will change this now, and it's been suggested many times over anyway.
What I would like to suggest is that the future male costumes be modeled on the average body-types; the ones used by Rangers/Elementalists/Necromancers.

Please give your support to this suggestion.

The problem is, wouldn't warriors etc. be complaining for they look too thin, after?
Not that it affects me anyway, just a random thought.

The problem is, there's actually no change to the body type, as the basic mesh and bones underneath are unaltered. It's mostly a matter of perception: these costumes look like they're just obscenely layered and this is expecially evident on thinner body types.

I don't think it would be that hard to fix it anyway, so, well, /signed

I know there are people that play Warriors who would rather not look like a hulking, mildly obese body-builder. They just have no choice currently if they want to play one.

They actually do. Clothing doesn't get placed on top of the character's body, they replace it. And if you look closely, every player has the same shape/build when wearing a costume, they just have a different posture because of different animations.

Thinner body types just look absurd in the costumes. The part that really boggles my mind is that the female costumes do in fact change based on body type (it's most noticeable with the dwayna dress) there is definite differences in the costume shape when worn by a female rit vs a female sin.

it's like this for so many things though. certain warrior armors clip with shields. some swords/axes/focus items clip with armors as well. some are so bad that they actually go into the legs more than halfway. some off of the top of my head are the eaglecrest axe with eles. any fan will clip through the leg of a mesmer/monk etc almost completely. i would much rather see the clipping issues fixed before the store stuff since they have been issues for WAY longer than this stuff. we all know that none of this stuff is going to be addressed though.

Well, limbs and shoulders are perfectly coincident (just ignore the absurd boots of the Shining Blade Uniform...). This leads me to believe they just went for a lazy transplant of the torso, which is the most controversial part, as it looks bloated no matter what the profession.

I never understood why they didn't model it after a body type that's more "average" for the character classes, something along the lines of the Paragon or Ranger.

The female shining blade costume completely outclasses the male.

Yes. Yes and yes. The female shining blade costume has a sexy tight fitting top but the male version looks like he's wearing a carpet. no fair...=( I notice that the male dwayna costume also makes your character look really chubby... part of the reason why I didn't buy it.

Put in a more average body type.

It's kind of weird for my sin to go from being sort of skinny to fat and buffed.

Anytime a male assassins dons a costume, it looks as if the poor guy had a SERIOUS overdose of cheap beer.

Yes, fix this please. I don't wear the costume on my main character, male Elementalist, 'cause he looks too burly. Looks ridiculous with such a tiny head.

Really? You couldn't possibly think of a reason why they'd do this besides insanity?

Here you go: they wanted to simply make one model that scaled with height, as opposed to a bunch of models for each profession, and it makes a hell of a lot more sense for a costume to add weight to your figure than it does for clothes to magically make you skinnier. Hence, the costumes were designed for the largest body type.

Not hard. Also: probably not happening. If it's such a big deal for them to get artists to make 4 costumes, they're not going to design 20 so all the body types are covered.
